Chương 8: The Haunting
"Let's do this then. I'll be finished with the invisibility spell by the time she gets out.", Valerie said to herself.
"Thump! Thump! Thump!", sounded like absurdly loud knocks coming from Orla's room. After a couple of seconds of loud knocking, Valerie could see that familiar head peek through the window. It was about to come out. Valerie quickly hid behind the wall just enough to enable her to watch Orla.
"O I'm invisible now. Completely forgot that.", Valerie thought.
Valerie observed as Orla's head shot to the sky. She went so high up Valerie thought she had lost her.
"Good day to be a Necromancer.", Valerie chuckled.
Valerie looked around to see if anybody is looking, and within a few seconds, she was up in the air with the clouds. It didn't take very long for her to find Nukekubi Orla, and when she did, she started recording her with her phone, which was also invisible like her. Orla went to a very dark sketchy alley and waited there under a big bushy tree, silently plotting to catch her next victim. A man was approaching Orla's floating head.
"Why does that have to be John?! Oh Lord!", Valerie worried.
Nukekubi Orla didn't move at all until John went close enough to her.
"How strategic of Orla.", Valerie wondered.
In a very sudden movement, Orla flung her eyes open revealing her massive glimmering teal green eyes. In an instant, John took an about=turn and started sprinting as fast as he could, while Orla's head chased him close behind. He was letting out the most blood-curdling scream. John could feel Orla's breath on his neck. It was over. He knew this meant doom.
"It's my time to shine now.", Valerie chuckled.
John suddenly felt two arms roughly grabbing him and pulling him away. He couldn't see anybody, just felt the arms. John was mortified.
"Don't worry John, I'm saving you. She's lost you.", said Valerie.
John looked over to the head and saw it searching around.
"Why can't she see me?", John asked.
"Because you are invisible. I made you invisible. So don't worry. I'll help you get home ok?", Valerie replied.
"Thank you, Val, I would have seriously died today. What the f*ck was that thing? And how the hell did you make me invisible?", John inquired after getting home.
"I know you have a lot of questions John, but unfortunately I can't answer them, in fact, you must let me erase your memory.", Valerie said.
"Erase my memory? What else can you do? Have you tried erasing my memory before this? Don't you think I'll be more careful walking home at night remembering this?", John questioned, but before he could speak further Valerie gripped his head with both hands and started chanting a memory eraser spell.
"Well then, stay safe John, and don't walk around late at night.", said Valerie, "Goodbye.", they parted.
"Remember my friend from MMA we were talking about earlier? He is down to talk to you and give you all the books and resources he got.", said Alistair.
"Thanks for helping Al", said Orla. "I'll treat you for dinner later.", she promised.
"What about me?", asked Sydney.
"Don't you get it, Syd? They want it to be a like a date. HELL IT IS A DATE!", exclaimed Ronan.
"You're finally right about something Ron! This makes total sense! I knew you liked each other!", shrilled Sydney.
"No it's nothing like that!", Orla shrieked shyly.
"It could be.", Alistair murmured, smiling like a dork.
"O MY GOD YOU GUYS ARE ALREADY GETTING SHY! SO CUTE!", Sydney screamed in excitement.
"I think I'm about to throw up.", Ronan mumbled.
