It was the insistent barking that woke me up. All the pups were barking like crazy, and there was a sense of urgency in their cry.
I threw the covers and was about to stand up when I felt Duncan move and sit up. I looked at him, there was a frown on his face. He glanced at me and put his forefinger on his lips. A universal sign to be quiet.
I nodded and watched him walk out of the room wearing olive green sweatpants. damn, he has one fine ass. The way those pants molded his behind was. damn.
"Lass, if you have all the time to look at my asre, after we are done with the pups. Let's hope we can get back to sleep," Duncan said.
I could feel my face getting hot with embarrassment. He may not be able to read my mind, but he could certainly know me well enough. I gave a mild huff and stood up as well.
"What do you think is causing them to cry like that?" I asked.
"There is one way to find out," he answered.
