Before he could answer, the lady came with the food. 

"Thank you for waiting, "She said with a smile and put the plate on the table. "I will send more coffee."

 Esmeralda gave her a wide smile and nodded her head. The lady went inside and sent someone to bring them coffee. She was enjoying it with such a charming smile on her face that he was in disbelief. How could someone look crestfallen one moment as if her entire world had shattered and the very next moment, a plate of cookies made the same person the happiest person in the world? 

He could never understand how things went like this. 

"Eat, silly, "Esmeralda said, feeding him a cookie. "They are as amazing as they smell."

"Yes, they are, "Ethan said, nodding his head. Even if the cookies tasted like a normal batch of cookies to him, the infectious smile and happiness on her face made him feel what she was feeling. 

"Do you think we can request that we give her some more so we can take them home?" Esmeralda asked.
