On Saturday morning, Fish got up early.
He left his dorm room, slipped into a window in the common room, pointed his wand at the rising sun and pointed it at his heart, muttering the words, "Amato, animo, animo, animo, animagus."
As usual, there was no response.
"Bostezo!"
(?ω?)
Fish resentfully put away his wand, then prepared to go back to sleep, he planned to dream about the big tree again, except that lately he had been sleeping unexpectedly well, he had no sleep at all....
He must be tired from so many classes and homework he'd had lately, that's why he couldn't dream!
Fish, who had slept most of the day, complained unnoticed.
As Fish was returning, he ran into Harry on the stairs, who had also gotten up early.
"Ah, Fish, good morning." Harry froze at the sight of Fish, then greeted, "You're up for the Animagus Charm, aren't you?"
Both he and Ginny were still at the stage of having mandrake leaves in their mouths for the moment, waiting for this month's full moon to come out before taking the next step.
As for Ron... he had given up.
The idea of getting up before dawn and singing every day after was too much for Ron, who had no hesitation in giving up.
"Let's wait until the O.W.L. exams are over..." said Ron, "See how easy George and Fred and the sixth years have it now, it's not too late to practice the Animagus Charm then."
In fact, if Harry hadn't wanted to transform into Animagus like his father before, he would have been tempted to join Ron and leave him for a while....
"Good morning, Harry." Fish nodded, then looked curiously at the envelope in Harry's hand, "You're going to send a letter nya?"
"Yes, to Cold," said Harry, waving the envelope in his hand, "I have something I want to talk to him about."
"Oh..." said Fish, immediately losing interest.
He thought Harry had gotten up so early to send a letter to someone special.
Fish yawned with disinterest and then rubbed his eyes as he walked past Harry, "Go on then, Fish needs to go back and catch up on his sleep nya."
(Φω???)
Fish slept until noon, and when he wandered out of the dormitory once more and into the common room, he was dragged straight to the Great Dining Room for lunch by Hermione.
"Well? Have you had the sleep today?" asked Hermione quietly as she sat down next to Fish.
"Not yet nya..."
?ω?
Fish frowned a little disapprovingly. "If I'd had a good day off today, I probably would have dreamed nya... so..." he looked at Hermione seriously, his tone gruff.
"¿And?" Hermione looked at the serious Fish with a puzzled look on her face, unsure what he was trying to say.
"So... Fish is going to skip his homework today nya!". Fish said in a righteous voice.
Hermione: "... No!"
"Nya!"
∑(?`Д'?)
"You can dream all the time, but you have to finish your homework on time! At the very least, you have to finish your work for Transfiguration or Astronomy class!" Hermione glared at Fish with a fierce glare.
"Fish is starting to dislike Hermione nya..."
Ψ (???~???)
Fish muttered as he chewed hard on his mouthful of food.
Hermione rolled her eyes, not giving it a thought, she had heard the same thing more than once before, at first she had been worried, but now she knew Fish was just talking.
As Fish grumbled and ate his lunch, members of the Quidditch team and several of Fish's housemates came in from outside.
"Good lunch everyone!" greeted Ron enthusiastically to Fish and the rest of his housemates as he approached the table, before anyone was even seated.
Fish looked up at him, "So it's you, after all? Are George and Fred going to give you a new flying broom?"
Seeing the composition of the group that had entered, and Ron's "ask me" almost in his face, the quick-witted Fish instantly guessed what was going on.
Ron's face froze with excitement as he was about to share his joy with the group, only to have it blown away by Fish, which immediately took away his bragging pleasure.
"It's not just us," George said, wagging his finger, "It's Bill, Charlie and Percy, and we brothers have decided to chip in and buy little Ronnie a nice broom."
"Little Ronnie is so lucky to have such wonderful and thoughtful brothers like us!" exclaimed Fred, holding out his hands.
Ron's mouth twitched as he looked at the bragging twins, wanting to tell all the pranks they had played on him... but, for the sake of the flying broom he was about to receive, he relented!
At that moment, Ginny suddenly spoke up, "So, if I sign up for the quidditch team next year, will they buy me a flying broom, too?"
"Oops, I'm starving, let's see what we have for lunch today." George started talking right away.
"Ha! Charred red sausages! Those are my favorite!" Fred nodded tacitly.
Ron, who had been watching his two brothers laugh, suddenly realized that Ginny had turned her attention back to him, and he lost his sense of bravado and sat up quickly, haphazardly grabbing some food on his plate and nibbling on it.
"Hmph!" Ginny pursed her lips, she was just saying it to say it, but she had figured out her brothers' nature in saying it.
Of course she knew that George and Fred were playing a trick on her, and if she needed the money, they would be able to pass it on to her.
As for Ron, it wasn't that he didn't want to pay, but...he really didn't have any money.
After eating, Fish decided to find a place to go and hang out for a while, while Hermione followed him every step of the way.
Hermione knew that if she didn't keep a close eye on him, Fish would find a place to hide and hang out during homework time.
"Hermione aren't you going to the library nya?". Fish, who had tried several times to get away from Hermione, tried. "Fish wants to sunbathe and take a nap, so you can go to the library to read first nya."
"Okay," Hermione gestured to the bag Professor McGonagall had given her, "I've already borrowed the books I need to read this morning from the library, I can read them next to you, and Fish can sleep on my lap."
"Oooh..."
(?ω?)
Fish, who hadn't managed to escape, made a pouty face.
"What's that look?" Hermione feigned a surprised face, "Fish doesn't like me following him around?"
"No!" hastily denied Fish, he hugged her and rubbed against her cheek, "Fish just.... well..." he looked up at the rare clear sky, "It's just, Fish felt that if there are no more storms, Fish's Animagus Charm will fail nya..."
"Don't worry, there are still plenty of storms this time of year." Reassured Hermione with a chuckle.
Eventually, a desperate Fish found a random spot and plopped down on Hermione's lap to take a nap, while Hermione grabbed a book from her bag and read it quietly.
After an hour of napping, Fish was awakened by Hermione and taken back to the common room to finish his lengthy essay on the summoning spell (Accio) that Professor McGonagall had assigned to him under her supervision.
Afterwards, Fish and Hermione went to the Forbidden Forest, had dinner at the centaur tribe, and then went to the Room of Requirement to play kiss and lick each other's fur before returning to their dormitories and falling into a deep sleep....
When Fish opened his eyes again, he found himself in the form of a tiger-spotted cat, lying under a huge tree.
Indeed, Fish couldn't dream earlier because he was too tired nya!
