Wendy Stewart was sent to the intensive care unit.

The next day, Todd Lewis brought Jake Stewart and Leah Stewart to the city hospital.

Not many people could enter the intensive care unit. Even if one wanted to visit the patient, they would have to change into hospital clothes to avoid bringing in germs and causing infections. 

Hence, at the moment, the group of people were all in Jake's ward.

With both children present, Michael Lucas and Mary Stewart did not actively bring up Wendy's situation.

Leah's eyes were red and swollen.

Jake was intelligent. Seeing Michael and Mary's expressions, he had already guessed that the situation was not good.

His arm was still with a drip, so there was no way for him to ask about Wendy's matter in private.

Seeing Mary carrying Leah at the side, he was afraid that it would not be good for Leah to hear too much. But with the current situation, he was even more worried about his mother.
