Chương 11: The Mikaelson 'Normal'.
"Your mother is Klaus-crazy!?" Hayley told Elijah. "Compel her?!" She asked Elijah, and Elijah held the woman's face,and moved it towards him, and his eyes pierced into hers.
"You saw nothing, you never came here." He told her, "You will never remember any of us. Now leave!"
The woman left. Caroline opened the message.
"This is for Hayley Marshall and Caroline Forbes." Caroline read.
She ripped the paper, and Hayley joined her.
"What does it say?" Both the Mikaelson boys yelped.
"Come on, Love!" Klaus said, impatiently, "Tell me, what my mother has to say!?"
"Hayley Marshall-Kenner and Caroline Forbes-Salvatore." Caroline read out loudly. "Keep away from my sons, and keep your daughters away from them, if you want safety."
"What?" Klaus snapped.
"Or you will be killed because I will not stop to get what I want!" Hayley started to read.
They looked at each other.
"Or the children will suffer." Klaus snatched the paper from Hayley, and Elijah read from his shoulder. "Unbearable consequences!"
"I hate this!" Caroline held her head in her hands. "I can't believe this!" She glanced at her wrist. "It's seven, and I cannot have a crazy witch on my tail while I am managing 600 hundred students!"
"600 hundred students?" Elijah turned towards her, surprised. "That is impressive."
"Not my point, Elijah!" She told him. "I am responsible for their lives."
"That's right!" Elijah nodded, "We need a plan! And Freya!"
"Oh...She went to Katie's shop to get something." Hayley told her, "Some magic binder."
"I cannot believe mother would be so cowardly….." Klaus murmured.
Caroline got disconnected when she received a call from Alaric.
"Hi," She turned on the phone.
"What are you doing, Caroline!?" She took the phone away from her ear. "Why aren't you back home?!"
"Alaric, I think I am going to stay here," She told Alaric, "We are in big trouble, and she knows who I am, and where I live. She knows Lizzie and Josie!"
"Who?" Alaric was confused.
"The Original Witch!?" She cried. "I have to keep them safe! Klaus and Elijah can keep them safe!"
"No…!" Alaric told her. "You can't do that!"
"I don't want to…!" She told him, "But, this is something we have to do to keep our daughters safe!"
They heard arguing.
"It's not like I did this on purpose!" Caroline was not using what she called her 'indoor' voice.
"You did know what you were getting into when you started getting involved in the Mikaelson family!"
They all had vampire hearing. They could hear what Alaric was saying. Even when they had moved out of the room to give her privacy.
"Caroline….!" Alaric was shouting, "I am coming to get them!"
"No!" Caroline shouted back, "Because I cannot get them killed. Stay in Mystic Falls, Alaric, Take care of the school, and be safe!"
"But...."
"Good day, Alaric!" She turned off her phone, and threw it on the sofa in front of her. "And you three can come back! I can hear you."
She fell on the arm chair, and sighed,
"I don't know what is going to happen!"
Klaus, Hayley and Elijah came back inside the room.
"We need a plan.." Klaus sat down. "I say we invite her to dinner!"
"Are you crazy?" Caroline stood up. "Where, the girls are!"
"He's right!" Elijah told her, "Hayley and you can take the girls to the Bayou. She will get the impression that you two have left us, with the children."
Hayley nodded in approval.
"Good idea!"
Caroline looked confused.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes!" Elijah said, "Take them to the bayou, tell them nothing…...make a picnic out of it!"
"Wha…." Caroline looked at Hayley.
"He's right, Caroline." Hayley was going towards the kitchen. "You don't know how many times I have had a picnic with Hope so they could have a 'talk' with someone!"
Caroline followed her,
"Seriously?!" She muttered.
Hayley was packing a picnic basket as if nothing was wrong.
"Open that cupboard." She told Caroline. But Caroline was frozen. "Hey!"
Hayley snapped her fingers in Caroline's face. She shook her head.
"What's wrong with you?" Hayley asked her, "Caroline!"
"What's wrong with you!" Caroline retaliated. "You are just regarding this as if this is normal!"
"This is normal, Caroline!" Hayley sighed, she put the knife on the table, "If you are a Mikaelson, this is normal."
Caroline took a deep breath.
"Normal?"
"Yes, Caroline." She went back to her. "Surely, you would have anticipated that when you started dating Klaus."
"I did, but I didn't know it would come to my daughters."
Hayley smiled at her.
"People are ruthless here, they will not see they have animosity with Klaus or Elijah, they will get to Hope, or Lizzie or Josie."
"I cannot believe it!"
"Not everyone is as noble as you are." Hayley told her. "I'll see if the girls are awake!"
She stood there, broken and shocked.
"What happened, love?" Caroline was shaken by Klaus. His hands on her shoulder,
"This can't happen, Klaus…" She shook her head. "Never, in a million years!"
"What?" He asked.
"The fight can come to me, Klaus!" She told him, "Your mother can come and fight me, torture me, kill me for you. But the girls won't become a part of this!"
Klaus shook her shoulders.
"Nothing will ever happen to the kids ever!" He told her, "Or you...Never!"
"Promise?" She asked.
"I promise." He told her, she held her closer, "Always and forever."
