Chương 31: Chapter 31

"The one who passes the sentence must swing the sword." That's the saying Prophisians have lived by all their lives. Its what prince Castellan has learned ever since he was a whipper, to a full grown man. Henceforth, after enough evidences was collected against Father Henry, it was time to render the punishment.

Prince Castellan stood up high above everyone else in the throne room when he sentenced Father Henry to death. The ones who were present on that cold day claim almost five hundred good folks were invited to the throne room to witness the punishment. Castellan did that so the good folks can spread the word and tell everyone how justice was finally served.

"I, Castellan Taelin of House Taelin, first of my name. Crown prince of Prophis, Lord of the freezing lands the protector of the realm. Sentence you to die, High Septon Father Henry for treason you committed against your king." With that, Father Henry was dragged outside of the palace by the guards.

The well wishers and people who were in support of the crown were waiting at the open space to see the execution. As Father Henry was passed through them, they threw rotten tomatoes at him, smelling fruits, bad apples, brown cabbages, and stones. The cursed him, "Traitor!" and some called him "Murderer" and they kept on screaming. "Hang him! Take his head off."

Along the way, Prince Castellan was accompanied by his second brother Prince Ambrose and the last born Prince Frost. Princess Thelma walked closely to her sister in law Katarina, who was as always with her son Barkis. From time to time, Thelma seemed to want to ask her sister in law something but she hesitated.

Katarina noticed it. She was a very smart woman. "You and I are sisters, aren't we?" she asked Thelma as they kept walking.

"Yes we are."

"Then you know you can tell me anything. What's on your mind?"

Thelma sighed softly, then she turned to Katarina and expressed hereelf. "It's Father Henry, he is so pure and it's hard to believe he would collude against my father. He loved the king."

"I have the same feeling too." Katarina lied. But one thing about Katarina was she knew how to play mind games, how to read minds and get what she wants from people.

"You do?"

"Yes, and the witnesses… they sound as if someone had threaten them to lie for their own benefits."

Princess Thelma stopped walking and grabbed Katarina's hand, they excused themselves from the crowd. "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" she asked. "I know he's your husband and he is my brother… but ─" Thelma paused and looked at Castellan leading the crowd to the execution place.

"What are you saying princess?"

"I know he's not a good man, my brother. I know you once said he used to beat you up when he was angry and… I think he had something to do with father's death." Just at the mention of what she was feeling, Katarina knew Princess Thelma would be a problem.

Instead of being on her husband's side and defending him, Katarina knew that would only make her look like a fool to Thelma. She hesitated to continue and promised Thelma they will talk more about it when they get back to the palace.

When Father Henry's neck was on top of the stone, he said a prayer silently while the crowd was cheering up for his head. A guard handed over a sharp sword to Castellan and he stood ready to deliver the sentence. Castellan stretched his cloak and covered himself up to his head since it was freezing and dark.

"To whom are you praying to father? The old gods or the new?" He mocked Father Henry.

"I pray for the day the truth will be revealed. Your reign will be short. You will follow me to the grave soon enough." Those were Father Henry's last words. Lucky for Castellan, it was too loud for the good folks to hear what Father Henry had just said to him.

Prince Castellan sighed and the moment he swung the sword, it only took one hit for him to take off Father Henry's head and then he threw it to the crowd. The Prophisians were hungry for justice, and the prince allowed them have it.

Like a pack of wolves, the good folks of King's City went after the septon's body and dragged it through the whole capital. The head was placed on a spike and being passed over from house to house, they screamed. "This is the king's murderer," as they displayed Father Henry's head to every household.

Prince Ambrose shook his brother's hand after he executed the punishment. "I'm proud of you brother." He said. Castellan pulled him in for a hug, Thelma watched as her brothers hugged and they pulled in prince Frost too. She desperately wanted to believe Castellan was innocent, but then again at the same time she knew he wasn't.

Later at night, a letter arrived at the kingdom. The lords delivered it to Castellan, and it said that Lucian Mithandir was making his way to Maldonia. The first thing Castellan did was show the letter to his wife, they were inside their bed chambers preparing to sleep.

"How many men does Lucian have?" asked Katarina.

"The spy counted to five thousand, there could be more."

Katarina placed Barkis on bed and then turned her attention to Castellan who was struggling with taking off his robe. She reached out and helped him undress. "Do you think the young king Artemis will collude with Lucian Mithandir to take me down?" asked Castellan.

"That is why you need to be sworn in as king as soon as possible. Once you are king, you will have control over all the houses and the army…" Katarina finished undressing her husband and kissed his chest, with how tall Castellan was, Katarina looked like a little child to him.

"I can't be sworn in now. Father Henry said…"

Katarina stopped him. "Where is Father Henry now?" she whispered. "You make the rules my love, you are the rightful heir to the throne. The Mithandirs lost the war to your father and they have been dormant for over thirty years. They will continue to be losers even generations after we are gone. A Mithandir will never sit the Silver throne again."

Then Katarina pulled Castellan's pant and then she looked at him with her flirty eyes. Castellan smiled knowing full well what was going to happen next.

"Make the second Septon a High Septon. A Septon you can control, and have him swear you in as king by next week. And just so you know, your sister is suspicious and we need to silence her." Katarina finished and then she slowly bent down on her knees.

Castellan's phalus was so close to Katarina' warm lips, and just the feeling made Castellan hard beyond measure. Katarina tightened up her hair, then she opened her mouth and sucked every inch of the prince's now hard as a rock manhood. Looking from the window, Castellan was the naked man holding a thick of hair and displaying a huge phallus.

With every stroke, Castellan moaned even more and he felt like he was going to lose control hence he held on to a chair while massaging Katarina's hair softly with his eyes closed. He came in the next thirty seconds, he knew he wouldn't last long and then he slept peacefully with Katarina by his side.

As King's City kept getting colder and the mischievous being revealed, at the Blackmount things weren't looking so good with princess Aeryn in charge of the kingdom until her brother comes back. Aeryn sat at the Sweet Waters throne with a crown on her head and delivered sentences to thieves, murderers and rapists who were brought forward.

She was bitter to everyone at court, including to Lord Balrus who she completely denied to even hear him out when he wanted to offer a word of wisdom. To her, lord Balrus was a traitor who knew exactly what was going on between her father and Jordy.

However, when she confronted him, Lord Balrus pretended to not know anything. "I only knew about the relationship they had my princess, nothing further."

"What about the bastard, Aprophil. Do you know where he is?"

"I do not have information regarding the bastard."

Princess Aeryn screamed at him. "Lies! All you do is lie Lord Balrus. Why, because I'm a woman and I'm… impulsive and irresponsible?"

"Maybe the few days with you leading the court should perfectly describe that for you."

"What do you mean by that?"

"You sentenced that brother who hit his sister over a goat to the dungeon for a month! That is irresponsible and you wouldn't even hear their father's testimony."

Princess Aeryn wasn't having it. "He was hitting her because she was a girl." She defended herself.

"No, he was hitting her because she was pulling the goat's testicles and almost killed the poor animal."

"That's no reason for him to hit her."

"He is thirteen my princess." Lord Balrus was angry at this time throwing words with princess Aeryn. He then cooled down and spoke softly. "I think you are channeling your anger towards him because it reminds you of your brother."

"Nothing reminds me of him anymore."

"Then perhaps it's time you marry. Once you are married you will be far from him…"

The princess cut Lord Balrus halfway. "So all of you at that council can dine him for dinner? You call yourself king of Maldonia without a crown, and that's because you know the deep secrets of this kingdom and yet — you wouldn't tell us what you know of this bastard." she clapped back.

Lord Balrus knew he made the princess angry, "I fear you are worried about the wrong person my princess, he is but a slave and a bastard with neither land nor a name to claim."
