While Vander, Naerdeath, and La Folia started to go to school, Grayfia had been forced by Serafall to come with her to meet with the Shinto Gods. It was only through a combined effort that they managed to wipe Kuok Town's memories of the fight between Vander and Daisy.
Her roar was so loud that it could be heard for miles from the epicenter of their fight. Even if Grayfia wanted to keep Vander's name out of the situation she still had to give a explanation. As such she merely told Serafall about her having a peerage member, not who, what or where they were.
At the moment both Devils were waiting in a reserved hotel room in neutral ground. Serafall was giving Grayfia the stink eye as even now she refused to give up Vander's name.
"Look they will want to talk to the one responsible even if you try to protect them. You did the same when your daughter's pet went wild, but this is diffrent. We are in the human world and foreign territory."
Grayfia turned to look at her with a steady gaze.
"Even so, I won't cause him more trouble than need be."
Serafall smiled as that was just like Grayfia.
"Fine. At least can you give me his name?"
Grayfia smiled.
"That would beat the purpose of me keeping his name out of this."
Just as she finished saying that the door opened and a black haired woman in a shinto attire walked in. She had a reagal aura around her as the head goddess of the Shinto Gods. With her were two female servants.
Serafall smiled and bowed politely.
"Lady Amaterasu, it is lovely to see you again."
Grayfia bowed as well.
"Yes, it has been a few years since we last spoke."
Amaterasu sat down with the two Devils as she got straight to the point.
"I am sure you are aware of the destroyed forest near Kuoh Town. The battle that occurred their was strong enough to be heard from Kuoh not to mention the roar that echoed before then. Who caused it?"
She was not looking for excuses she wanted an answer. Serafall looked at Grayfia who answered.
"It was my servant. I did not inform them before hand and they had to deal with a unruly monster."
Amaterausu turned her gaze to Grayfia.
"And did you not inform your servant of Bounded Fields? That is one of the most common means of keeping the Supernatural secret. However not only did they not do this they destroyed an entire forest in ear view of humans.
It took a lot of power to wipe the minds of all the humans in Kuoh Town to make it seem like a natural disater. However, things could have turned foul if we did not manage to do this. This would have been on you as the master of your servant."
Grayfia nodded.
"They had only been my servant for a day at the time. They were still not aware of bounded fields. This won't happen again."
Amaterasu drank some of the tea her servants prepared for her.
"Even if that is the case I want to know the identity of your servant. This whole time you have not given me even their gender. That is something I want and need to know."
Serafall looked at Grayfia who still had no intention of selling out Vander.
"I am sorry, but I cannot give that information. It was part of the contract I signed with them. They are my servant in name only as they act as a free agent. I pay them to work as my Queen piece, nothing more."
Hearing that made Serafall wonder if that was true. Amaterasu squinted her eyes as magic contracts could be dangerous if broken.
"Was this a magic contract?"
Grayfia nodded lying through her teeth.
"Yes. I cannot just divlugel their name as things stand. I can inform them that you wish to know who they are."
Amaterasu decided to accept that.
"I merely wish to know who did this. I don't intend to punish them as the situation was resolved relitely without issue. That does not change the fact that your servant endamged a innocent human town. I cannot have that in my territory."
Grayfia agreed to tell Vander.
"I shall do that."
Seeing that Grayfia agreed, Amaterasu got up content with the concluation of the meeting.
"I shall take my leave then."
She and her two servants began to disapate into streams of sun light vanishing into sparks. Once they were gone Serafall sighed that things ended peacefully.
"We going to meet up with him?"
Grayfia sighed with a nod.
"I will introduce you to him."
---
As got the one responsible he was currently sitting with La Folia and Naerdeath during lunch break. They were eating Naerdeath's home cooked lunch while Vander also did his make up work.
He finished paper after paper with ease as the stack was rather large. La Folia bit into the roasted meat with gusto as she looked at him.
"Look that that, you are not all muscle."
Naerdeath frowned at the idea.
"What's wrong with muscles?"
Vander dropped his pen as he looked at her.
"Yeah, what is wrong with them?"
La Folia shook her head at the two of them.
"Nothing, nothing at all."
Naerdeath gave her a knowing smile.
"You are jealous."
La Folia shook her head.
"Not in the least."
Vander went back to finishing the essay which wanted to ask waht was your idea for dealing with world hunger. He wrote that people should be required to have a license to have kids and the amount you could have was determined by your income.
Meaning the poor would stop having poor kids that they could not take care off. It even included a plan to deal with corpses which was to make 40k style Corpse Starch from the dead. It would free up cementeries and feed the people too. After all,
'Only in death does duty end.'
Criminals would be put againt each other in a Hunger Game like fashion. By the end he nodded with his plan to end world hunger as the paper did not require people to be happy.
"And finished, I just solved world hunger."
La Folia and Naerdeath begant to read his essay. Both of their faces changed the more they read as this was more of a dystopia setting. They put his paper down as they looked at him with bitter smiles.
"Corpse Startch?"
He shrugged.
"Hey, if it works in 40K why can't it work here?"
La Folia shook her head as she knew of Warhammer.
"That table top game takes place in the grim dark of the far future. Of course that won't work here."
Naerdeath had no idea what it was, but now she was curious.
"What table top game?"
Vander explained as he was a big fan of it.
"Warhammer 40k quite literally takes place in the year 40,000. 39,000 years into the future. It's the grim dark of the far future where humanity is besset on all sides by alien community, never ending orks, Dark Eldar, thirsting gods, and never ending Tyranids.
In the grim dark people are sacrificed by the millions for any number of dangers. Quite awesome I do have to say."
Naerdeath nodded as it did sound awesome.
"No wonder, sounds metal as hell."
Just as se was going to ask more, Rias, entered their classroom. She drew some eyes, but she went straight for Vander, Naerdeath and La Folia. Vander looked up at her.
"Hey Rias."
"Vander, Grayfia and Serafall Leviathan are here to talk to you."
He sighed as it seemed their was always something going on.
"Fine, let's go."
La Folia was confused why her mother and Serafall would need to talk to Vander.
"Is something wrong Rias?"
She nodded.
"Yup, Vander's little spat with Daisy caused some trouble."
"What spat?"
As she had not met Daisy she did not know what they meant. Vander decided to tell her on the way.
"I will explain on the way. Let's go."
They began to leave for the Occult Reasch club which the reached in a few minutes. When they made it their, Naerdeath got the full story. Now she wanted to see Daisy, but that could wait. When they entered the room, Grayfia and Serafall were waiting.
When Serafall saw, Vander her gaze went toward him from feeling his power. His power was retrained, but it was waiting to erupt. She had met La Folia before, but she felt way stronger than before. Even the if she had not met the dwarf girl she could feel her power.
"Grayfia., you picked up a real monster. How long have you been keeping him hidden?"
Vander answered for her.
"Around 2 weeks give or take. I am Vander Abbadon. No relation to the extinct Devil clan. I just thought it was cool."
Serafall nodded.
"I see. I am Serafall Leviathan, one of the Devil Kings. La Folia, you have gotten much stronger since I last saw you. I have not met you though."
She looked at Naerdeath who was techniquely a secret.
"I am Naerdeath. Somone who the Gremory family took in. I am no one of notice."
'Bullshit, this girl can slaughter this whole town with a wave of her hand. My Sona does not even compare.'
"Alright, now for why we are here. Vander, your destruction of the forest caused some trouble. The head of the Shinto gods wants to talk to you as the roar of some monster you fought echoed all the way to Kuoh Town. It took some power to get all of the humans to forget, but she stil wants to know who did it."
He turned to Grayfia with a confused look.
"You didn't tell her who I was?"
Grayfia shook her head.
"No. I said we signed a magical vow so they could not force me to tell your name or that you are a man. As such I came to ask if you want to meet with her. If you don't want to don't worry about it as I said you were more of a mercernry I am hiring.
They can't force nothing."
He smiled as she didn't betray his trust.
"Thank you Grayfia. As for if I will meet with her, no way in Hell. Just tell them that you can't find me."
"Alright I will inform her that you decided to leave to America. As very few people know who you are they can't prove anything."
Serafall looked at her with a sigh.
"Alright, however their is a condition. Vander, you must show that you can use a bounded field."
He titled his head in confusion.
"What's that?"
La Folia now felt emberssased as she herself forgot to tell him to pick up the spell.
"That one is on me. I took him to the family library and he mostly picked battle related spells. That one slipped my mind with how basic it is."
Naerdeath had never needed to make one so she too had no idea how to make one.
"I also don't know how to make one either."
Grayfia decide to personally teach the both of them how to make one.
"Come with me. I will teach you to how to set up bounded fields. It will alooow you to fight in the living world without worrying about destroying huge swathes of land."
Vander and Naerdeath both were thankful.
"Thank you Grayfia."
"Thank you miss."m
She shook her head as it was her duty anyway.
"It's no issue. Oh and Vander, keep up the pace with your pacts and you will be high class before long."
Serafall sighed as Grayfia made her choice.
"Alrigh, next time she asks I will tell her that you are unreachable with you being over seas. I will go and see my Sona for now. I think I will stick around for a few days. Bye."
She left the club leaving Rias, Grayfia, La Folia, and Naerdeath here. Learning bounded fields did not take very long as it was a fairly common spell used to hide things. While they did that, a certain Dragon Emperor was approached by a disguised Raynare.
