Chương 13: There were More Like Couples Than A School Mate.
After the warm hug, Huiyin smiled warmly at Xiao Shuang, words can't explain how she had missed him.
Xiao Shuang was the only surviving son of the Xiao. As a matter of fact, he was spoiled and pampered by his wealthy parents. He joined school at Dongcheng, and ever since then they became great friends.
Xiao Shuang will always get her fruits and drinks, and he helped her get most of her books.
However Xiao Shuang left her school on her birthday. And that was really a sad thing for her.
She had told him the date of her birthday when they met and during the first year, he had gifted her a beautiful gold wrist watch as a birthday gift. In which she rejected. She wondered what would be her mother's reaction if she showed the wrist watch to her. However she accepted his gift after a few days, she showed it to her mother, and she saw no problem, or even said anything wrong.
Ever since, Huiyin had been receiving gifts from him and sending him some gifts during his own birthday.
It was on seventh of july and she had dressed up for school that morning, she applied powder and some lip gloss, Huiyin knew that Xiao Shuang will give her something very precious for her seventeenth birthday so she went to school very earlier than usual.
She arrived at school as early as 7 o'clock, hoping that Xiao Shuang driver will appear in front of the school building and he will climb down the car and give her a warm hug.
She waited for hours, hoping that he will come, but she didn't even see the color of his car, she thought that there might be a traffic jam in the highway, and Xiao Shuang will appear in a jiffy. But her wishes never came true. She wished she should have brought her phone along with her perhaps she would have known the reason why he was late.
Tons of car drove in the school premises but Xiao Shuang car wasn't among them, and so did the teacher came, and lesson commenced. Xiao Shuang never showed up.
She was heartbroken thru out that day, and when she arrived home, she ran inside her room to call him. But alas his phone number wasn't available. And that was a very big disappointment for her.
She also expected him the next day at school, but she never saw him, and the session ended, she never saw him thru out the entire year.
Huiyin was heartbroken but she decided to forget about him and face her studies.

"So Xiao Shuang, you never showed up on my birthday at school that day, where were you? You have the faintest idea how heartbroken and crestfallen I was" She told him in the midst of tears, while Xiao Shuang drove the car.
"I am so sorry Huiyin, I wasn't expecting to go to shanghai that day with my uncle, and when we returned, I had to follow him to england, we returned just last week" He explained.
"It's been two years now, and you changed so much that I couldn't even recognize you again. It seems that you are really enjoying yourself in england" She smiled warmly as she spoke.
"Yeah, I took over Father's industry and I will be staying at dongcheng from now on" He replied.
"That's amazing!" Huiyin exclaimed. But her countenance suddenly changed. What if Xiao Shuang is already married? Kids from wealthy parents are always getting married at a very young age. She will have to ask him.
"So Xiao Shuang, who is the lucky girl?. I know that you might have become a married man by now" She teased.
"Lucky girl? as in wife?" He asked back.
"Yeah, of course"
"You can take a look at my finger, there is no ring. I am just waiting for the right time." He responded still facing the road.
"Alright. So I am actually going to Chen hotel, my sister returned from xiecheng yesterday night. I had missed her so much. I am going to visit her. So can you give me your mobile number now? I will call you when I get home" She beamed.
"Yeah, so when shall we meet again? I don't want to leave you without informing you. When should I come to take you out?" He asked calmly.
"Perhaps on Monday, I shall be going to the church tomorrow" She replied.
"Alright then" It was as if Xiao Shuang voice was hurt.
"Is something wrong?" She asked with concern.
"I really don't want you to go. I want us to be together through our today" He spoke.
Huiyin was used to hearing such words from Xiao Shuang, back at college, they always met at the cafe or the casino. Xiao Shuang was always staying at the casino with his friends whenever he was less busy, and Huiyin will always be there with him. There were more like couple than a school mate.
Huiyin could also say the same thing, for after two years she was just meeting him, it wasn't good to leave each other suddenly right?
If not for the fact that she was going to see MeiYin, she would have canceled wherever she was going so that she could be with him.
"Please can you give me the mobile number now?" She asked slowly.
"Oh yes sure." Xiao Shuang brought out his card and gave it to her.
"I'll call you once I get home" She smiled.
"Huiyin" Xiao Shuang called and held her right hand. She held her phone tighter than before, she wouldn't want it to fall from her hand.
She looked up at him.
"I wish you have to stay" He whispered.
"Same here" She replied.
"One more thing Huiyin" He told her. "I have a little gift for you"
Huiyin wondered what gift he could give her, they just met after a long time.
However, she wanted to see it, so she sat down and watched as he raised his hands towards the back of his neck.
'What is that?' Huiyin was over curious.
