Damien held the wine glass and sipped it. He slid his hand into his pocket and looked outside the balcony of his room. His hair was wet as he had taken a bath earlier.
He looked at his burned hand and chuckled. "If I will ask Prince Édouard to burn Christian alive, will he?" He tilted his head to gaze at Rainard, who was standing next to him.
"You should keep your tongue in control," Rainard stated.
"Tell me," Damien ignored his advice.
"That will never happen. You should be happy that Prince Édouard has decided to help you. It is not easy to stand against your own family," Rainard asserted.
After Édouard told Rainard to go home and take a full day's rest, he decided to see Damien since he wanted to know what was on his mind. He wanted to make sure that he had no intention to harm Édouard or anyone innocent people around him.
