Chương 32: Qin Mufeng

Qin Villa.

Day after tomorrow was a special day for Qin family. It was Qin Muran and Qin Yan's 18th birthday and their coming of age ceremony.

Qin Yicheng had decided to organize a grand banquet for his daughters' birthday. The villa was filled with activity. The banquet would be held in Qin villa and all the esteemed and influential people of S city were invited.

The invitations had also been extended to Qin Muran and Qin Yan's classmates.

Qin villa was whistling with activity when Qin Mufeng, the young master of Qin family entered.

The young man's black hair was short, fully revealing his angular facial features. He was wearing a black T-shirt and slim-fit cargo pants. The bottoms of his pants were tucked into his boots, making him look much taller. His slender figure was like a tall pine tree, and he exuded a gentle and warm aura.

When he smiled, it was as if the whole villa lit up as if the spring had arrived.

He called in his magnetic voice, "Yan Yan, Muran, look who's here!"

His voice attracted the attention of Lu Yaran and Qin Yicheng. Both of them came out running to see their son. Qin Yicheng hugged his son warmly while Lu Yaran's eyes showed her longingness towards her son.

After getting admitted into Beijing University, Qin Mufeng got more and more busy. First, he would visit at weekends, but later his visits became less and he would come back only after his exams once in a while.

Lu Yaran embraced her son gently. She then stared at Qin Mufeng up and down and said, "Look how thin you are! Don't you eat anything?"

Qin Mufeng looked at his mother lovingly and said, "Mom, I have not gotten leaner. I am just maintaining my body. You don't want your son to look greasy and ugly right?"

Seeing her son coaxing her, Lu Yaran was extremely happy, "Okay, okay. I can't win against you. Tell me, what do you want to eat! Mom will cook for you."

Qin Mufeng replied eagerly, "Mom, I want to eat sweet and sour ribs! I have missed the taste of your hands! My mom makes it best!" Qin Mufeng praised Lu Yaran's cooking skills greatly.

"Oh right, Mom, where are my two princesses?" Qin Mufeng asked his mother.

"I am right here, brother," Qin Muran called out from the staircase. Behind her was Qin Yan, who was trying to remember about the young man standing in front of her with a warm smile and gifts in his hand.

It seemed that this was the elder brother of the original host. From the memories, she understood that he was the only one in this family who treated her sincerely. He gave the love of a brother to the original host and was the only ray of light for her.

Qin Mufeng's eyes lit up seeing his sister. "Muran, come here. See what brother bought for you." Saying this Qin Mufeng gave a gift to Qin Muran. He also distributed the gifts he bought for his parents.

At last, he gazed towards Qin Yan. "Are you.. Yan Yan?" he exclaimed while looking at Qin Yan.

Qin Yan came forward and greeted him, "Brother."

Hearing the voice of his sister, Qin Mufeng was sure that this was Qin Yan. However, his face showed a shocked expression. He couldn't believe that his sister changed so much.

She was slimmer now and she was no longer the fat girl from before. Her face was covered with a mask but it couldn't hide the liveliness of her eyes.

She had transformed from an underconfident person to a confident one. She greeted him while looking into his eyes which was different from when she would always keep her head low.

"Yan Yan!" Qin Mufeng greeted her with a hug. Qin Yan was quite uncomfortable as she was not used to physical contact with anyone. But her brother's hug gradually warmed her heart.

In her previous life, she desired a brother's love the most. Now that she got it, she was really grateful.

"Look, what I bought for you," Qin Mufeng showed the gift to Qin Yan. When she opened the gift, a diamond bracelet came into her view. Underneath the bracelet, her name was carved.

This was the first gift which she got after her transmigration. Qin Yan's heart was filled with joy. "Thank you, brother!" She exclaimed happily.

Lu Yaran was repulsed by Qin Yan's behaviour. She hated to see her happy. On the other hand, Qin Muran's face was twisted with jealousy. 'Why would brother get a gift for this bitch! Does she deserve it? Hmmph!'

Qin Mufeng looked at Qin Yan and asked, "Yan Yan, why are you wearing this mask?"

Before Qin Yan could answer, Qin Muran interrupted, "Brother, I made something for you. It's a surprise. Let's go to my room, I'll show you then."

With this, Qin Mufeng was successfully distracted and went up with his sister. Qin Yan also returned to her room.
