Lillian drives by a neighborhood where purple flames were still burning some of the houses, nothing is on the street and she notices a few bodies with bullet holes in their heads.
" I think se went to Kalaes house" Lillian said over the radio, they decided to keep thegirl and Taylor's family with them to make sure they don't take anyone infected back to the base.
The woman who is named Kel is with Len and Wei in the truck, while Taylor is in the car with Sam, Austin and David. The two children using the back with the others, everyone seems to act normal and don't have any injuries. They lost two of their members on this outing, for now on they would have to be better prepared. They are taking pictures of the dead alking the streets and of any creatures that are out and about. Evelyn has taken still shots of their encounters from the cameras mounted on the vehicles and helmets.
" I don't see why shes risking her life for that woman" Evelyn said with malice in her voice, Lillian rolls her eyes as she holds the radio and sighs.
" they love each other regardless if Kalae slipped up on a drunken night, they've been together since they were fourteen Evelyn" Lillian said while looking around the desolate street, they take a right on the exit that says coral reef.
" will pick them up and go for Lens family after, I love you Evelyn" Lillian said, After a hour drive she spots Aris car in the parking lot and rush over to the car.
" Wei you have the extra key, water him and let him use the bathroom" Lillian said while taking out her binoculars, she doesn't see any movement inside the houses.
" Wei stay with the others, Sam, David, Paul and Ryan you'll come with me. Everyone else stay in the cars, Becky hop in Aris that way we can quickly leave." Lillian said while walking toward the houses, Wei takes the dog into the truck with him and it sits in the backseat with Kel. The dog kept whimpering with it's tail straight up, Wei pickup the radio. " Lillian keep your eyes open, I've also spotted two cars behind the dumpsters and it seems that they were trying to hide them." Wei said while exiting the truck he motions Becky to follow him. They find a map, bloody jewelry and a dead womans body, they quickly go back to the vehicles.
" there's a womans body in the car, they go from place to place pillaging and raping women. Watch your backs I'll come over with my truck in a half hour if you dont check in" Wei said while clutching the steering wheel. Len was worried about Ari more now than what she was, with humans it was hard to tell who was monsters.
Lillian makes it to the first house, she motions for David and Paul to go around the back and she would go through the front with Ryan.
They silently enter the house to find two bloody sheets laying over a couple bodies, they sweep each room and find no one. A thud came from the attic, Lillian seen pictures of two teenage girls with their parents lining the walls.
" girls if your up there I'm friends with Kalae, I'm a detective I'm looking for Kalae and Ari and there is dangerous people around which I'm sure your aware." Lillian said while watching the attic door in the ceiling, it slowly came down with two young girls who look like they've been through hell.
" Come on down, we have our convoy that my brother will take you back to" Lillian said reaching out her hand to her, they both climb down and hug Lillian tight. She feels the gun in the older girls pants waist, she takes it out and hands it over to Ryan.
" he's upstairs hurt, can you please help him" One of the girls say, Paul climbs the stairs to be met with a rifle aimed at his face.
" Anthony please don't I recognize her she's been at Kalaes before" the younger girl said while holding her sisters hand, Anthony hands th gun over to Paul.
" He's shot in the leg" Paul said while helping the older man down the ladder, Lillian smiles at the girls and look at the man.
" besides the dip shits that are around here something attacked Tom, I managed to scare Jim away from here, but he got my leg" Anthony said while pointing to the house next door, David slings his arm around his shoulder while handing the long shield to the girls.
" When were walking keep this shield covering you, walk sideways with it and we'll take you to the car" David said, Anthony stops and looks at Lillian.
" they went to try to trick your friend and their is four of them, the one named Jim his father runs a butcher shop with over seventy survivors and they do nasty things to the women there. My children and wife is there and enough supplies to last ten to twenty years" Anthony said, Lillian nods her head to him. She also knows that they'll need more supplies for their shelter and also men likeJim and his father shouldn't live.
Lillian and Paul mae their way to Kaaes house, when Lillian peeks in through the glass she sees a blonde haired woman with thirty getup on she taps the glass and the girl aims her rifle.
" I'm Aris partner I came to take her back home, I'm guessing that is your dog in her car" Lillian said while walking in the door with her hands raised, she sees the two dead bodies on the floor with two more tied up.
" Ari went after the one who ran away and that was over a half hour ago, my names Carra my father was friends with Kalae and Ari is my crush from when I was fifteen" Carra said lowering her gun, they both enter the house while Paul checks the two mens wounds. When he takes aligt to the older mans eyes he jumps back.
" his eyes, his eyes are black and even the sclera is black" Paul said while cocking his shotgun, he keeps it aimed at the mans head. The man sighs then sits up causing Paul to jump back, he looks at one of the pictures on the wall.
" that woman in the picture, the ginger is a monster" Tom said, Carra looks confused at him then tried to run out of the door.
" I've got to get to Ari" Carra said while Paul held her tightly, Lillian grabs her hand.
" you need to calm down, I'll go get her " Lillian said while checking her magazine in her rifle, Paul checks outside the window and he sees Ari holding a man at gunpoint walking toward the house.
" Shes here ! Shes right outside" Paul said while waving at her from the large glass wall, a smile went across everyone's lips.
