I let myself fume all the way back to my apartment. The longer I drive, the more I feel mild guilt and embarrassment for the way I behaved back at The Pack’s facility after my performance. Thankfully, Felix says nothing the whole way back to my place and simply lets me fume until I calm down.
I know I will have to apologize, but I wait until the both of us make it inside my dorm apartment before summoning the courage to be the first to speak between us. I shove the door into place and click the lock closed before glancing at Felix over my shoulder.
He looks a little shaken, but he looks more concerned for me as I gaze into his pale blue eyes.
