Song Suggestion: Sweater Weather by the Neighborhood
-------------------------
Leon raised an eyebrow. "That's all? Why are you acting so coy like a teenage girl, then?"
"I've never really... 'cuddled' anyone before. Not even my girlfriends." He sipped his cup. "It's really cold so I thought might as well try..."
Leon: ..... ..... .... .....
He then frowned. "Don't judge. I can tell you're judging."
"I'm not judging. I'm not much of a cuddler either." Leon said. "Finish your choc first, then we can try it."
"O-Okay..." Wolfe seemed to be glad that he agreed so easily with this.
He finished the hot chocolate, and set down his cup. He then stared at Leon expectantly.
"What?" Leon just asked dumbly.
"Hug me, you dumbass!" Wolfe chuckled, stretching out his arms.
He remembered when he got drunk and asked him for 'Upsies'. He stretches his arm exactly the same way every time like a kid that Leon's having deja vu.
He slowly went over, and hugged Wolfe Fang as requested.
".... You're too stiff, Leon. You have to make me feel warm and comfortable." Wolfe said. "God, how do your girlfriends even last a day with how dense you are..."
"Because none of them complains as much as you when it comes to hugs." Leon retorted.
But he did hugged him tighter this time, wrapping one arm around his waist and the other reaching to pat his head.
Wolfe immediately sunk deep into his embrace. "That's... much better."
"Rockabye baby on the tree top..." Leon sang, then chuckled. "Is that enough hugging for you, baby?"
Wolfe frowned when he let go, and shook his head. "Not enough."
He went to lay on the bed with the thick blanket, and patted the bed. "Get here and hide in the blankie with me."
Leon just rolled his eyes with how childish this man was acting. But he relented into babysitting him anyway.
When he laid down, Wolfe went on top of him to continue cuddling with him.
"Leon Mo..... Sing for me again." Wolfe asked softly and even politely.
"What song?" Leon asked.
"Anything.... Your voice calms me down...." He said, yawning.
It really was easy to fall asleep in this cold weather, especially when you're tucked in a blanket and comfortable. Even more comfortable if you were with someone.
Leon just sang a bunch of nursery rhymes, running his fingers on Wolfe's hair and massaging his scalp.
He can feel every rise and fall of his chest when they're so close like this. His breath tickling his neck.
It reminded him of how the waves go back and forth on the beach.
When he reached California, he would often stand there without shoes. Letting the water reach up to his knees.
He would look far away into the blue sky and blue sea, wishing a boat with bright yellow sails would pass by.
And in that boat would be a boy singing.
"Away she goes, the loveliest ship I have seen
Away she goes, with her sails billowing
Away she goes...."
Wolfe suddenly opened his eyes, his eyelashes fluttering like disturbed butterflies.
"You.... You know that song?"
Leon only realized that he was humming the tune of it after all. He went quiet, just staring in his eyes.
Wolfe sang the song again. Then, he repeated the question.
"You know this? This is what you're singing, right?"
Leon just looked away. "Yeah, so?"
Wolfe suddenly teared up. He cried lightly, his tears falling down like droplets of diamonds.
"Why are you crying?" Leon asked.
"I..... I don't know.... Have you watched it? Or you only saw the clip of me singing?" Wolfe asked, wiping his tears away.
"Why does it matter?" Leon said. "Just go back to sleep."
It almost sounded like he was pleading when he said that.
"Leon Mo...." Wolfe went over to snuggle closer, burying his head on the crevice of his neck. "You said you only waited for me for one and a half year."
"Have you never... missed me after that?"
Leon did not answer. He could not answer.
"I missed you." Wolfe said. "I missed you for 10 years. I couldn't have any friend as good as you.... I never did until now."
"Wolfe.... Just go to sleep." He begged again.
"If you had watched the movie The Sailor's Poet, I thought of you as I sang a certain song. I always think of you whenever I practiced singing it, and how you used to sing 'Tomorrow' with me."
"I often wished..... That you were also singing along with me that time."
Leon sighed. He still kept on playing with Wolfe's hair, and his chest rose as he took a deep breath...
"I want what they have, the Sailor and the Poet
One sails the seas of life, and one writes its rhythm...."
Wolfe looked up at this, and his tears flowed even more. He joined Leon while sobbing:
"I want what they have, a friendship that never ends
Forever and ever....."
Their voices mixed in perfect sync. But because of the cold, lack of practice, and the fact that the other one was crying, it was also an imperfect performance.
It was still beautiful.
As they continued to sing together, Leon couldn't stop the tugging at his heart....
And kissed Wolfe Fang this time.
Wolfe returned his kiss, wrapping his hands tighter around him as if he was afraid he will die if he ever let go.
"Leon..." He whispered into his lips.
Leon kept on kissing him. Their bodies rubbed together under these thick white sheets, their movements becoming more and more passionate.
The friction created a spark, and that spark would turn into a flame if it kept going.
Leon was scared of that flame, but also wanted it.
Wolfe also wanted it, as he said in his ear.
"Leon..... Can you touch me more? Touch me any way you want, just make me feel you... That you're here with me...."
He had no choice but to ignite the flame. He ran his hands under Wolfe's thick shirt whilst still running his hot lips on his neck.
Wolfe made a small sound, and also ran his hands all over Leon's body, heating it with his palms.
Two people just keeping each other warm in this cold, Canadian winter.
