In the end, it seemed as though Ling Chen's worries were for naught, as other than a few Minor Transcendence cultivators who Ling Fan had chased off with just his spiritual sense, nobody tried to interfere with his fusion.
Even if Ling Fan and Ling Yun weren't there, the two of them were confident that Lin Chen could deal with such threats on his own.
But even so, neither of the two complained in the slightest at the chance of earning 3 Saint Ranked Treasures without spending any effort in the slightest.
Finally though, after around 3 years, Ling Chen finally finished his fusion, causing the Rank 9 Formation that he was in to suddenly collapse, as all the Treasures that were holding it up in the past were finally used up in the fusion.
As soon as the formation collapsed, an aura, which had been completely suppressed up until now, suddenly erupted, causing both Ling Fan and Ling Yun to faintly frown.
At the same time though, neither Ling Fan nor Ling Yun were to be trifled with, allowing them to withstand the aura quite easily.
After around a breath of time, just as Ling Fan was about to speak, the aura which had been suppressing Heaven and Earth up until now finally retreated back into the body of its owner, who finally opened his eyes.
In but an instant, the remains of the formation around Ling Chen suddenly disappeared, causing Ling Chen to suddenly appear in front of the siblings.
"Fellow Daoist Chen, it seems as though your fusion was quite smooth," said Ling Fan as he looked at Ling Chen, who currently looked just like any other normal human.
But even so, Ling Fan could easily feel the deadly power of the Body-Refiner in front of him.
"That's right, thanks to the efforts of the two Fellow Daoists, I suffered no interference in my fusion, allowing it to go without a hitch, I have to offer you two my sincere thanks, fellow Daoists," said Ling Chen as he cupped his fists towards the two with a peaceful look on his face.
But even so, the siblings were not impressed, causing Ling Chen to slightly chuckle before taking out two small boxes out of his spatial ring.
A moment later, Ling Chen let go of his control of the two boxes, allowing them to fly over to Ling Yun, who had just taken control of them.
After taking a good look inside of the boxes, Ling Yun slightly nodded her head.
"We're currently quite busy fellow Daoist, we'll be on our way if you don't have anything else for us to do," said Ling Fan as he took one final look at Ling Chen.
Then, without waiting for the Body-Refiner to respond, Ling Fan and Ling Yun immediately flew away without any hesitation.
"It's a pity, I wanted to invite the two Fellow Daoists for tea, but so be it if they don't want to stay here any longer," mumbled Ling Chen, aware of the fact that his power had made the two rather scared.
Although Ling Chen was a bit angry that the two of them doubted his character, in the end, he simply let out a faint sigh and shook his head before flying away in the opposite direction.
...
"It's as I expected, Ling Chen's power rose at least several times after his fusion..." mumbled Ling Fan as he flew next to Ling Yun, causing his younger sister to shake her head.
"That's true, even though he didn't seem to have any other ideas, I don't think it's worth it to risk things it," said Ling Yun as she touched the two boxes that she had obtained from the Body-Refining Cultivator.
With these two, as well as the first Saint Ranked Treasure, Ling Yun felt pretty confident that she could catch up to her brother once again.
A few moments later, the two siblings silently decided on what to do, and began returning to the edge of the Three Thousand Regions, to resume the pirate lifestyle the two of them had in the past.
...
At the same time, in a hidden corner of the Three Thousand Regions.
As she looked at the fifth toe which had just appeared on her whilst she was in her true form not too long ago, Ao Xie, couldn't help but slightly grit her teeth.
Even though the False Immortal Realm True Dragon could feel her cultivation speed up more and more with each moment, an unwilling look couldn't help but appear on her face.
"Damn it, how did things become like this..." mumbled Ao Xie as she transformed into her human form.
If she had known that things would've turned out like this, Ao Xie wouldn't have participated in the previous battle.
In fact, Ao Xie would've even been willing to remain hiding from the Heavenly Dao if she could avoid her current situation.
But even so, Ao Xie knew that her current fate was unavoidable, and that no amount of anger could change anything, causing her to become even angrier.
After a few moments, the True Dragon finally decided what she would do, and returned to her True Form only a few moments later.
"I'll sleep for 10 million years, let's see if you can really out wait me, worse comes to worst I'll use my Merit..." mumbled the True Dragon as she suddenly created several barriers around herself.
A few moments ago, Ao Xie fell into a deep sleep, one which she wanted to not wake up from for at least 10 Million Years.
...
Unaware of the fact that she had just obtained a new comrade who had the same philosophy as her, Xu Chang'er couldn't help but feel satisfied as she stared at the new location she had chosen for her seclusion.
Although she knew that her mother and grandmother would not leak her location, Xu Chang'er did not feel safe if anyone knew the location of her seclusion, as such, she immediately abandoned her previous location, and found this one after some effort.
After all, nobody would think that Xu Chang'er had gone to the Weakest Area of the Weakest Continent of the Weakest World of the Weakest Region of the Three thousand Regions.
Right?
As he looked at the dozens of Rank 5 Apostles standing in front of him, Yuan Zhan, couldn't help but faintly frown.
'Sending themselves towards their deaths like this, they're becoming more and more reckless in recent years,' thought Yuan Zhan as a painting brush suddenly appeared in his hands.
A moment later, the brush of the Rank 7 True Immortal smashed against the Dozens of Rank 5 Apostles, who tried their best to dodge the attack that had come their way.
But even though the Apostles did their best to dodge, in the end, some paint managed to get onto them, painting over parts of their existence in one fell swoop.
A moment later, a faint frown appeared on Yuan Zhan's face, as dozens of attacks suddenly found their way towards him without any rhyme or reason.
'A little bit surprising but nothing powerful enough to threaten me...' thought Yuan Zhan as he once again moved his brush, causing the attacks which had come just under a meter away from him, to suddenly freeze.
Of course, it was not only the attacks which had frozen, instead, it was everything around Yuan Zhan, causing his brush to suddenly sweep over everything.
A moment after that, just a moment after realizing the fact that they had just frozen up, all the Rank 5 Apostles disappeared, having their existence completely obliterated by the Rank 7 True Immortal.
But even though Yuan Zhan had easily slaughtered his opponents, the frown present on his face couldn't help but increase in size.
The very moment he finished off the Apostles, Yuan Zhan suddenly began moving, and instantly arrived at another region of the battlefield.
Where a group of True Immortals, which was currently being besieged by the apostle, was currently struggling to survive.
The moment Yuan Zhan appeared in that battlefield, the Apostles present suddenly stopped caring for their lives, and suddenly launched themselves towards the surviving True Immortals.
Sadly for them though, by that point, things were already over, as Yuan Zhan immediately annihilated them from existence.
Immediately after that, Yuan Zhan stopped paying attention to the ant-like apostles and began healing the True Immortals at the scene, with that same frown still present on his face.
But even though Yuan Zhan could heal nearly everything, in the face of those who had their existence fully annihilated from existence, even he was completely powerless, and couldn't do anything but silently mourn them for a brief moment.
Before Yuan Zhan had arrived at the scene, 3 True Immortals had already died, whilst 7 had died on the side of the Apostle.
Perhaps if this battle continued, and they had enough time, the True Immortals would've managed to fully annihilate this group of Apostles in the end.
By then, most of the True Immortals would've probably perished as well, leaving only a few alive for the next battle.
Since they had taken up this style of battle, this of course meant that the Apostles most likely outnumbered the True Immortals several times, or at least, felt as though they could regenerate faster than them.
A moment later, Yuan Zhan disappeared from the scene, without having said even a word to the True Immortals.
...
As he looked at Yuan Zhan, who had just arrived, Xu Jinming, who was sitting alongside Old Man Hongjun as well as True Immortal Grand Sun, let out a faint sigh.
"It seems as though you've just seen how things are on the battlefield," said Xu Jinming, causing Yuan Zhan to slightly nod his head.
"Yes, but I'm feeling a little bit of doubt as to how the three of you are sitting here so calm knowing that the Apostles are grinding us down so quickly, knowing the characters of the three of you," said Yuan Zhan as he sat down at the seat prepared for him, causing Xu Jinming to shake his head.
"That's true, ordinarily all three of us would be out there right now, not standing right here, drinking tea so leisurely," said Xu Jinming as he looked at the painter.
Not even mentioning Xu Jinming and Old Man Hongjun, True Immortal Grand Sun, whose combat power did not pale in comparison to the two of them would usually have been even more eager to jump into the battlefield.
Instead, the three of them stood here, only fighting against the Apostles using incarnations.
"Since you've been waiting for me, then say what you have to say, we don't have infinite time right now," said Yuan Zhan, correctly assuming that Old Man Hongjun was the one who had ordered this gathering.
A few moments later, Old Man Hongjun suddenly began speaking.
...
Unaware of the slow changes that were happening to the battlefield in the Upper Dimension at that very moment, Xu Yue, who had just returned to the Origin Sword Sect not too long ago, once again left the sect and went to her next destination.
...
As she stared at the True Immortal that had just appeared in front of at that very moment, Xia Jingfei, who had been calm up until now, couldn't help but become a little bit surprised.
"This is quite surprising, I didn't expect senior to come here to meet someone as insignificant as me," said Xia Jingfei as she slightly bowed, causing Xu Yue to shake her head at the slightly mocking act of the True Immortal.
"We could be said to be friends in the past, you don't have to be so formal," said Xu Yue as she looked at the Demoness in front of her, causing the latter to faintly smile.
"I understand, so what reason do you have for coming here, Senior?" asked Xia Jingfei, making Xu Yue smile.
"I'm here to tell you to not cause trouble after I'm gone, otherwise I will find you after you come to the Upper Dimension," said Xu Yue, causing Xia Jingfei to suddenly freeze.
"Senior, I'm quite happy about your high expectations for me, but I'm really not sure whether I can ascend, that's some..."
As she listened to Xia Jingfei continue to spew out garbage at a rapid pace, black lines couldn't help but appear on Xu Yue's face.
In truth, Xia Jingfei's ability to spew garbage out of her month was really quite impressive, causing Xu Yue, who had originally come here with good intentions, to actually become annoyed enough to feel some killing intent towards the demonic cultivator.
As she stared at the cold look in Xu Yue's eyes, Xia Jingfei, who had originally planned to taste Xu Yue's patience, returned the conversation to the topic on hand.
"Don't worry Senior Sister you can rest assured and ascend with peace of mind, I won't cause any sort of trouble, I'm someone who keeps my word," said Xia Jingfei as she lightly patted her chest, causing Xu Yue to faintly frown.
"That's very good, I'm laying my trust in you, don't disappoint me," said Xu Yue as she stretched out her finger and touched Xia Jingfei's forehead.
"Don't worry Sister Yue, I'll be the first one to intervene if some idiot decides to cause trouble in here!" said Xia Jingfei, who had just been completely frozen, unable to move in the slightest.
That feeling of powerlessness made Xia Jingfei feel sweat fall down her forehead, and her to make up her mind.
'As expected, a True Immortal is far too powerful for me to face, I can't resist in the slightest, I need to be careful to not anger her' thought Xia Jingfei, unaware of the fact that Xu Yue was definitely not a normal True Immortal, and had exaggerated combat power even amongst her peers.
Seeing Xia Jingfei's reaction, a faint smile couldn't help but appear on Xu Yue's face.
'As expected of a demonic cultivator, she reacts quite strongly to raw power,' thought Xu Yue as she smiled.
"This you're so determined, I won't bother you any longer," said Xu Yue as she patted Xia Jingfei on the shoulder.
A moment after that, Xu Yue suddenly disappeared from Xia Jingfei's senses, allowing the demonic cultivator to finally let go.
Merely a fraction of a second after Xu Yue left Xia Jingfei suddenly began breathing heavily, one deep breath of fresh at a time, as the invisible aura that had suppressed her up until now finally disappeared.
"That damn True Immortal, coming here to bully me into submission with her power, just wait until I ascend as well..." mumbled Xia Jingfei, not daring to utter Xu Yue's actual name, fearing that the latter could hear her words.
Unbeknownst to Xia Jingfei, Xu Yue was very much easily able to hear the demonic cultivator cursing her, causing a faint smile to appear on her face.
"It's very good for cultivators to be ambitious..." mumbled Xu Yue as she thought about sending down a bolt of lighting to scare the demonic cultivator a bit.
Thankfully for Xia Jingfei, in the end, Xu Yue decided to show a bit of mercy, and did not smite down upon her.
...
After finishing dealing with that unruly Demonic Cultivator, Xu Yue then turned her attention onto a similarly unruly Righteous Cultivator.
Although Xu Yue was sure that Xia Jingfei was telling the truth, and did not plan to cause any trouble, in the end, if she was pushed into a deep enough corner, Xu Yue did not know what the latter would do.
As such, Xu Yue had to also deal with the person who was most likely to push her into that corner, and who could probably cause a lot of trouble himself, Li Fengfeng.
...
As she stared at Li Fengfeng, who was currently cultivating peacefully, a faint frown couldn't help but appear on Xu Yue's face.
'Did she really have to taunt him so much, the obsession he formed with her is really quite scary...' thought Xu Yue as she stared at the righteous cultivator.
Although right now, Li Fengfeng still clung to his righteousness if the conflict between him and Xia Jingfei became too deep, and the latter taunted him enough, Xu Yue was unaware if he would still cling to these beliefs of his, even then.
A moment later Xu Yue lightly snapped her fingers, causing Li Fengfen, who had been meditating up until this moment, to suddenly open his eyes and raise his head.
A fraction of a second after that, Li Fengfeng once again lowered his head.
"Junior greets Senior."
"You don't have to be so formal, I've come here to ask you to do something" said Xu Yue as she stared at Li Fengfeng, who had an extremely serious look on his face, causing the latter to feel a bit surprised.
"What is it, senior?" asked Li Fengfeng as he slightly raised his head with a surprised expression on his face, clearly quite interested in the request of the True Immortal in front of him.
"I want you to stop hunting down Xia Jingfei, at least within the Three Thousand Regions," said Xu Yue, causing Li Fengfeng to suddenly freeze.
Although Xu Yue had added that last bit into her sentence after a bit of thought, the fact that he couldn't hunt her down within the Three Thousand Regions did not make things better in Li Fengfeng's mind.
With how sharp Xia Jingfei was, her finding out this small point was all but guaranteed, which would most likely cause her to immediately begin taunting him from within the Three Thousand Regions, with him being unable to do anything.
But even though every single fiber of Li Fengfeng's being wanted to refuse the request of the True Immortal in front of him, as he felt her aura smash down on him more and more every single second, Li Fengfeng knew that it was completely impossible for him to truly refuse this request otherwise his fate would most likely not be nice.
"I understand Senior, I will no longer trouble her within the Three Thousand Regions, you have my words," said Li Fengfeng as he gritted his teeth, clearly being quite unwilling to say these words.
But even so, a faint smile appeared on Xu Yue's face as she said this.
"That's good, hopefully you keep your word..."
