Chương 43: Game of tag
Seven Silver Rank Demon Spiritualists appeared and surrounded Alan and Xiao Ning'er. Xiao Ning'er frowned as she saw these Demon Spiritualists and asked, "What are you doing?"
She received no answer from these warriors.
Meanwhile, Alan recognized some of these Silver Ranked Demon Spiritualists. He had beaten them when he was testing his strength as a Silver Ranked Demon Spiritualist.
These Silver Ranked Demon Spiritualists didn't recognize Alan as he was wearing a cloak that concealed his identity completely.
'They must have been asked by Shen Fei to attack me. Only he can convince these cultivators to raise their hands against the young master of the Sacred Family publicly,' Alan thought.
He was a bit puzzled about how he should tackle this situation. He had multiple options ahead of him.
One was to reveal a trace of his true cultivation and beat them all up. But that would just raise more questions, and the Sacred Family would try to gain access to all his secrets. This would definitely force Alan to split up from the Sacred Family or maybe even destroy it.
The second option was to deal with this situation while concealing his cultivation base. It was a bit harder to accomplish as compared to the first option, but the results would be much better.
"…Do you realize that you are about to attack the young master of the Sacred Family?" Alan asked with a calm tone.
No cultivator surrounding him responded. They were aware of this fact and had already received reassurance from Shen Fei that the Sacred Family won't pursue this matter.
"It seems that you are prepared for the consequences. But let me ask you, are you truly prepared for the consequences?" He left the question hanging.
"…Don't misunderstand us, Young Master Shen Yue. We just want to guide and help you increase your combat power. However, the fists and legs have no eyes. We ask for an apology in advance. We just have good intentions for you," a cultivator seriously spoke.
Alan smiled, and he spoke, "Oh. So you have good intentions for me. Then how about we play a game? It's known as tag. If you can touch me, I will accept your offer of fighting you all and increasing my combat power. But if you can't touch me, you will return home. After all, if you can't even catch me, how are you qualified to teach me?"
Alan's words challenged all the Silver Rank Demon Spiritualists. They were extremely infuriated to hear these words as it showed that Alan looked down on all of them.
Even Shen Fei frowned as he heard this condition. He wondered if his younger brother had lost his mind or not.
Shen Fei's comrades thought about it for a moment before agreeing to Alan's game.
"Alright. We will play that game. What are the rules?"
"It's simple. You have to touch me. All of you are in one team and if anyone among you can touch me, you win. But if you can't touch me for the next 30 minutes, I win," Alan spoke.
He then whispered to Xiao Ning'er, "Go to the side and be ready to see an interesting show."
"En!" Xiao Ning'er nodded. She trusted that Alan knew what he was doing and walked to the side where the citizens had gathered. She turned her head and stared in Alan's direction.
The game soon started.
Alan remained at his position while all these 7 Silver Star Demon Spiritualists rushed toward him.
Before any of them could touch him, Alan jumped to his left and quickly did a backflip. He dodged all of them, doing some quick jumps and gaining some distance between them.
By the time these Silver Rank Demon Spiritualists realized what was going on, Alan had created a wide gap between them.
The Silver Rank Demon Spiritualists tried to surround Alan and catch him a bit more intelligently this time, but Alan easily dodged them because of his much superior speed and strength. Moreover, his perception was much faster because of his high Cultivation Base.
Thus, it was just impossible for him to lose.
These Silver Rank Demon Spiritualists were slowly growing weary as time passed. They found out that this game of tag was much harder than they were initially expecting!
It just seemed impossible to catch Alan!
Soon, only five minutes remained in the game. Alan was about to win.
The Silver Ranked Demon Spiritualists thought that they had made a fool out of themselves by letting Alan slip from their fingers multiple times during this half hour. They had to catch him at all costs!
One of the Silver Ranked Demon Spiritualists thought it would be a good idea to use Xiao Ning'er and use her to grab Alan.
With a cold look in his eyes, Alan picked up a stone and threw it at that individual. The stone struck the Silver Ranked Demon Spiritualist's head and shook his entire body before he fell to the ground.
The people in the audience and the other Silver Ranked Demon Spiritualists had witnessed that the stone was thrown by Alan. They were shocked that a stone launched by Alan possessed such great strength that it could directly send someone to unconsciousness!
However, no one gave it much thought as they believed that this only occurred because that Demon Spiritualist hadn't used Soul Force to safeguard his head. If he had done that, Alan's attack wouldn't have affected him!
The time for playing tag soon ended, and Alan left the area along with Xiao Ning'er, leaving the audience and the warriors behind with a dumbfounded look on their faces.
In reality, Alan was leaving quickly before he was worried that these Demon Spiritualists would go back on their words and really attack him. If that occurred, he would be forced to block or counter, and his power would be revealed.
After leading Xiao Ning'er home, Alan decided to visit these Silver Ranked Demon Spiritualists.
He knew their houses and visited them secretly while wearing a masked outfit. He beat them all so badly that they all fell into a coma with multiple internal injuries. They were all thrown into the hospital, but there was a low chance they would recover from these injuries any time soon.
