At first Alina pretended not to care that she was being ignored, but it was hard to keep up the longer Davi and the three women in the apartment kept chatting about gardening, and how hard it was to grow anything these days, and, no, they didn't know about grow lights, they experimented with regular led lights but it didn't do much, and they were happy for the tips.

Ivo watched from the sidelines as Alina's expression grew progressively darker, until she was tapping her foot in impatience.

"Can we go?" she snapped, after the woman with the bald head and the body covered in intricate, black and white tattoos, went inside the apartment only to return with a potted beanstalk that she proudly showed to Davi.

Davi cut his eyes towards her as if he was only now noticing her presence and said, "Oh, right, let's go."

They said their goodbyes while Tânia, Mari, and Fê asked Davi for his contact info so they could keep in touch and exchange gardening tips.
