The man in front of her... She meant her ex-boyfriend, laughing at the question from Rebecca's tiny lips. He didn't even answer Becca's question but shook his head as if something was wrong with her.
"You'd better eat your breakfast and let's go," said Tommy.
Becca, without feeling nervous, shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly. In fact, in her heart, she was really curious about whether Tommy really asked her to come back to him or not.
"Before going to your parents' house, let's go to mine first. Lily really wants to meet you."
Lily was Tommy's mother. A middle-aged woman who really liked Becca and even treated her like her only daughter. And they hadn't been home in a long time.
"You weren't there all this time?" Becca asked.
Tommy shook his head. "With you is the last time."
"Hah ... you're a total jerk, Tom. You should have visited your mother."
"Don't you remember my vow that I would come home if I was with you?"
Becca blinked a few times until she remembered Tommy's vow that he would not come home if not with her.
Huft ... Becca sighed. Living with Tommy... No, she meant, during her relationship with Tommy, she realized that her ex-boyfriend was really a man who was full of promises and never broke.
She could see that there was a true side to Tommy. That showed the man being held in his speech. And Tommy really proved it.
"If there's something good to do, you shouldn't have to wait for me. It's a good thing to visit your parents, you should know that," Becca advised.
"I'll think about it. Coming back home with you is peace, Rebecca. The only difference is it's in the apartment that might be the exception."
Tommy's cell phone beside him, which Becca could see on the screen, rang. Paige's name appeared on the screen of her cellphone, making Becca's heart feel like it was gone for a moment.
Tommy, who realized there was an oddity, immediately grabbed it and then hung up the call. He also turned his phone screen upside down.
"Hmm... why don't you pick it up? Maybe your new girlfriend needs you," Becca asked.
She didn't expect Paige to still have the courage to contact Tommy. She did give her a condition not to appear before Tommy again, but who knew that she was still calling him? It sucked.
This makes Becca reluctant to be friends with her again. Maybe she should cut off her friendship again after Paige begged her.
"I told you, I'm not dating her. Not even anyone!" said Tommy, exclaiming.
Several times Becca sighed and then she finished her breakfast which was still quite a lot left. She had absolutely no appetite after seeing Paige's name on the screen for herself.
"If you've finished with your laptop, we'd better get going. The sooner, the better," said Becca. She stood up and started to enter the room.
With a body that she felt shaken at the name Paige, Becca hurriedly grabbed a change of clothes and went into the bathroom. And there she began to cry silently.
***
Never blame girls if their mood has turned sour. Moreover, the main cause is jealousy of the presence of other girls in her relationship with her partner.
Becca realized that she and Tommy were no longer dating, but fellow exes. But what made her so hurt, again and again, was when the cause of her breakup came back.
If girls remember something that hurts their hearts, they will remember it forever. Especially infidelity that is clearly visible in front of their own eyes.
When Becca thought she had cried enough for herself, she washed her face and was silent for a few moments until she felt that all was well.
Coming out of the bathroom, apparently, Tommy was ready. Just wait for Becca and she'll use that time to make up to refocus on her revenge.
"Lily's outside. So we'll meet her outside," Tommy announced.
"Okay."
The short answer was enough for Becca considering she wanted to ignore Tommy as much as she could. But for Tommy, the short answer was the beginning of doom.
"Don't you want to buy something for her?" asked Tommy.
"Yeah, we can stop at the bakery as usual."
Tommy's jaw tightened at the short answer Becca gave him. Even though she seemed ordinary, he knew that there was something out of the ordinary about Becca from the moment she saw Paige's name appear on the screen of his phone.
He waited quietly on the edge of the bed playing with his phone while Becca stole glances at him in the mirror. She was ready with her makeup but the zipper on the back of her body was not completely closed.
"Tom, can you help me close the back zipper?" Becca asked.
Tommy lifted his head. He saw Becca's back, which was exposed. He stood up and so did Becca. Then she put her hair aside for a while with silence and thoughts that were starting to run wild, Tommy closed the zipper slowly.
But suddenly his hand stopped, he touched her smooth back and suddenly he turned Becca's body.
His breath was already ragged. They looked at each other and Tommy returned his focus to his ex-girlfriend's lips. He had been wanting to make love to her for a long time. Ask her to go back to the great sex. He knew making love would reduce everyone's sense of gold, and according to Tommy, asking Becca to come back after sex was the right thing to do.
When their lips were about to touch, even though they had greeted each other for a while, Becca immediately turned around and covered her back.
She knew that Tommy was looking for an opportunity to touch her lips with his and that Becca, who had been teasing him on purpose, had managed to thwart Tommy's lust.
Tommy grumbled and cursed in annoyance at the same time. He even chuckled while thinning his lips because of his failure.
"I'm ready, come on, let's go," she said triumphantly.

The plan that had been to meet Lily, Tommy's mother, turned back into a meeting at his parents' house. Becca could only follow along without protest. Because just as Tommy couldn't stand Nora, Becca's mother, so Becca couldn't stand Lily. She loved Lily as much as her own mother. It was like having two mothers with different but equal affections.
Becca had also bought Lily and Will's favorite food. But she was sure that they would only see Lily because of their presence at a time when Will was still in his office.
"Rebecca, listen ... don't tell Lily anything about what happened to us, okay?" said Tommy before they actually got out of the car.
Becca only responded with silence. She then got out of the car and walked first into Tommy's parents' house. Tommy followed her with some food that Becca had chosen for her parents.
"Oh, Rebecca! Gosh! I missed you!" Lily's crisp voice really sounded so happy about her presence. Becca chuckled and they hugged each other.
"Sorry if we just visited you this time, Lily. I brought you and Will your favorite food," said Becca.
"Ah, no problem. I know you two are busy. Well, thank you, Honey. Let's get some food ready since you guys are also from a long trip, come on."
Lily pulled Becca's hand towards the kitchen while Tommy looked at them which really pleased him. He was always happy when the girl he loved was very close to his mother.
"Did I just admit indirectly that I love her? After breaking up?" he hissed to himself.
Tommy immediately shook his head. Hoping what he was thinking disappeared from his brain. But the picture of Becca and his family doing something sweet just kept popping up until he sighed.
While he kept Becca and Lily busy in the kitchen, Tommy came out of the house and sat on the terrace, opening his cell phone, and checking whether there were any special reports from his employees.
But what he got instead was a call from Paige at that exact moment he was alone.
He was looking into the house, Tommy walked forward to the car and received a call from Paige.
"What again, Paige? I'm with Rebecca!" asked Tommy irritably.
"Did she notice anything?" asked Paige.
"Yeah. You called this morning and she saw your name on my screen. What's really going on? You and I don't have a relationship that needs to be continued either. Why don't you just focus on your plans to be friends with her again?" asked Tommy. Every now and then he glanced at his house, and according to him, it was still safe.
Paige was heard sighing. "Jesus. He was about to take me back, but after this something must have happened after seeing me call you. And Tom ... I really want to meet you one last time."
"Are you crazy? Get away, Paige!"
The call was turned off by Tommy arbitrarily. He then blocked Paige's contact and then put his phone back in his trouser pocket.
"Tommy! Come here! Let's eat together!" Lily shouted, waving at him.
Tommy walked towards his house and went inside when he saw Becca already sitting at the dining table. Becca didn't even look at him, making Tommy really feel neglected.
If things look calm and safe, Becca followed Tommy's wishes because Lily looked happy as usual.
"I heard a girl approach you, huh?" asked Lily suddenly.
Tommy choked while he was drinking his mineral water. His gaze was immediately fixed on Becca who still looked calm and elegant.
"And I'm so grateful that you weren't tempted. That's what Rebecca said. Ah, apparently even that girl is Paige, her best friend! Gosh! That girl is really shameless! If I ever meet her, I'll scold her!" added Lily.
There was a sense of relief when it turned out that Becca hadn't told her anything about the affair. At least he was safe from his own mother's wrath.
"That... yeah... I couldn't possibly betray my girlfriend, Mom. She's more than anything else than Paige," Tommy said.
"Oh, of course! My future daughter-in-law really is above all of those naughty and flirtatious girls!" complimented Lily.
This time, Becca choked when she heard the word 'to-be-in-law'. It was something normal actually but became unusual because she and Tommy had broken up.
"And you!" pointed Lily to her son, Tommy. "Don't you ever hurt her one bit! If I knew you hurt her, I wouldn't consider you a child, Tommy!"
"Mom! You're exaggerating," Tommy said, sounding annoyed.
"Lily, there's no need to be like that," Becca added. "Besides, he ... won't hurt me. Take it easy. Your son is a man who keeps his word. Isn't that so, Tom?"
Becca turned to Tommy with a smile that really had meaning. Only Tommy knew how to remember the real situation.
And with that urgency, finally, Tommy had to make another promise in front of his mother. "Yeah, I promise I won't hurt her, Mom."
Lily looked happy. She gave her son a thumbs up and then excused herself to go to the toilet for a while. And that was when Tommy chuckled, staring at Becca.
"Rebecca! What exactly is your plan?!" whispered Tommy.
Becca calmly shrugged her shoulders. "My plan? Well, make her hate Paige. I'm really sick of her this time."
"She is your best friend!"
"Not anymore. Don't remind me that she is my best friend. Because who here destroyed the friendship first? Me or her or you two?"
Tommy immediately fell silent, bit his inner lip, and swallowed his saliva. Becca's way of speaking, which sounded hateful this time, was really not a good thing that Tommy knew.
Yeah, in the end, Becca was determined to really take back her words about how she accepted Paige back as her best friend. She was really fed up with her and it would be best to stay away from her as much as possible. Because getting friends to trust in everything is difficult. And Paige made her realize that. That not everyone who is near her can make a person she trusts.
But surprisingly, Becca still wanted to give Tommy an opportunity, even if she took revenge first.
