There is not much to write, but it is simply incredible and a work of art!!I always try to set aside time to read the chapters I enjoyed the most.Congratulations to the author for the work and may you continue to create even more incredible stories.

I have not even started but just the synopsis made me excited. Entering this with high expectations!!
This was one of my favorite novels until the story quality went downhill. The author didn't know what to do with this novel after the MC became the pope. The author/mc is obsessed with collecting women and little girls like Pokémon.. at some point it starts being suspicious. And his obsession with his mother is weird.
I have some issues with this Novel - that is, from the chapters 500 and later. Before, the novel is pretty neat and can be read without any major problems in the plot. But even then, somethings are really explained poorly: mainly the power and cultivation system. I still have NO clue how the mc cultivates and becomes stronger, literally, he seems to just do it. (I did ask the Author privately and he admitted to it, but the plot and story progress, which was in the focus, has given me much fun) The larger plot 'twist' at around ch500~600 is pretty bad and has given me a bad taste, also being the reason why I stopped reading it. I do not comprehend the reason to do what the author did with the mc, but I could guess he tried to make the mc pope in a quick yet critical situation. Nonetheless, at least till ch600, it's a very interesting and good read.
it was good and didn't develop in some weird ways and the world building is pretty nice though mc is a little arrogant and slightly hypocritical sometimes
This is by far my favorite novel. If I could, I would literally buy a printed version of it. The images really help to visualize everything, and I love the writing style. This novel can be really funny, sad, a bit scary at times, and has a lot of gore. I really recommend it to anyone who wants a good story to read, the writing style is fluid and pretty detailed. I am going to be really sad when I read the last chapter 🥲❤️
I am currently as of this review on chapter 755 and I have to say that this is one of my most favorite webnovels on this platform! Keep up the great work and I can’t wait to see where the story goes!
Author im just asking are you by chance related to the author of the Anime Gintama? its just you to have similarities, you both always portray yourself as monkeys no offense though just asking
First of all, I am lucky to find this novel. I like the concept and it's catchy (probably unique), I got hooked real good especially the book cover is anime.The writing quality is good but I found a few typos, probably because of autocorrect.The story development, I have mixed feelings. Firstly, especially the 1st Volume and first 60 chapters of 2nd Volume, I understand that the MC has zero motivation to become the Pope. Because, it was obvious, he's weak and only want to live a peaceful life.Secondly, my heart broke many times the more I read. The red flags and foreshadowing... To me, it's sometimes hard to notice but reading the comment section opened my eyes, felt enlightened, and entertained. Thanks to them, I prepared for the worst but it still broke my heart.Thirdly, I felt overjoyed and thrilled every time the MC did something to help the people - changing their lives thanks to the inventions and innovations. I like world building stuff starting from medieval setting to probably the magical modern setting.The character design: He's not like the typical reincarnated/transmigrated MCs out there with so much cheats and plot armor. No harem. Just pure big brain and strategy or schemes.Yes, he got a shiny halo with all the elemental affinities, maybe except darkness but he still got to start from weak. He's a literal baby that can talk and can obviously die instantly if he's not careful.And yes, he can grow strong faster like he got some Exp boost blessing but he needs to fight and kill stronger opponents. No pain no gain.Finally, the stronger the enemy he is going to face, the less of using his schemes and he needs more power. Of course, schemes won't work against absolute power!Update stability: the author is updating regularly, once a day.The world's background: It's understandably full of mystery.

I’m giving this story a 2.6 because it’s honestly disgusting. I had high hopes for the story because it seemed unique and peaked my interest but I was utterly disappointed as I read more chapters. The story starts out great with catchy storyline and great character descriptions but it goes downhill when MC goes to the church. MC is a serious hypocrite who talks about justice in his past life but then does nothing when he sees multiple people being murdered graped and racialized in his new life, and he does nothing only because the wrongdoings are being committed by people who he likes or people who are on his side. It honestly started getting disgusting when one of his allies threatened his mother and he did nothing, I of course kept reading tho because I wanted to see if he eventually has some kind of plan and he was just waiting till he got stronger, but no. He still had not done nothing and now there is grape and racially based slavery. As you can expect he does nothing based on the fact that there just on the wrong side and that the world is just evil. It explains him feeling regret or pity but he still overall does nothing. And I’m confused how he has the standing to be a main character if he does nothing and acts the same way as everyone else. It’s not like he’s a villain arc either because he doesn’t do anything bad, he just simply is a wimp. I’m dropping because of the bad MC and disgusting evil in the story line. The only reason the story gets a rating as high as 2.6 is because they wrote this trash of a book fairly well. You been warned.
okay I'm at chapter 379 currently, and so far... it's been very bland for me, like yes Sylvester did achieve a lot of great things however, it doesn't feel satisfying for me at all, for real only once did I feel excitement and that's during chapter 58-60, after that it's been very bland.the writing in this novel is very goodthe hymns are decent (although I cringed a lot so I just ended up skipping it most of the time)also, so far as I've noticed, the power leveling system of this novel feels like nonsense and it doesn't really explain much about magic.and it looked like this novel is turning into something that is like a "power of friendship" type of novel... so I might drop soon
Beautiful and deep. I love this book. It stands above all the other poorly written, copycat shallow, low-effort novels that are plaguing this platform. This is a hidden gem. If you have any doubts whatsoever then read at least the first 50 chapters. The novel is so good. The characters are intelligent and ALIVE. The world building makes sense and it's kingdom building too. The sheer strategy, schemes and politics are enough to keep you entertained for days. This novel deserves way more credit, I can proudly say I was here before this goes mainstream!
this is a great story it has great great and complex characters that are often on the grey side of morality.the the themes of the story , it being in a world stuck in the dark ages , with magic and monsters is something we see often , but it's made unique by the dark tone and the heavy subjects of religious zealotery , racism , classicism, etc ...overall , it's an amazing story , but not for the faint of heart
I started reading it as a joke but I don't know when I became addicted to this novel. The author knows his work as his dialogues and way of writing soothes the mind. For example : "I am no God. I am what you all were supposed to be." What a good line. I will forever hate myself for the fact that I wasn't the one who wrote this line. Sylvester does things exactly in a way in which a man of his past will do. It is a great novel and I recommend every one to read it. Forget all those harems and fan service novels for a second and dive down in some real fiction novel. This Ape is with you.

The author doesn’t care about the power system, The author doesn’t care about the fights, The author doesn’t care about the unique treasures a brand new world might have The author doesn’t care about the dozen plotholes The author doesn’t care about the villains. The author doesn’t care about the rune systems. Disappointing, was a good novel for a few chapters too

Absolutely fantastic binge read!!! The development of the characters is slow but at the same time a good pace for the overall story. The plot has many twist and turns and it makes it fun to theorize what the lead might do next. Overall it’s a great novel and the author is fantastic as well. I have survived Corona-chan's vicious attacks with the help of daily bananas and praying to Lord Harambe. So, after 2 years and 3 months, this Gorilla has decided to write an original again. The plan is simple, my fellow Monke friends. I write, and you vote. I get rich, and you all—cough! Anyway, the MC of this fic is mentally old, as he was an old man before being reincarnated. He is not an evil character, but not an overly righteous guy either. But since I'm a simp for wholesomeness, there will be some fluffy moments. But the major focus will be on MC's road to power. Which will include a lot of fights, plotting, backstabbing and friendships. The plot speed will depend on arcs. Though I will try to keep you all entertained with some high cliffs. Now, don't forget to stone me. I don't mind being hurt. Ah, here, take some Monke bathwater for good luck. Gorilla out.
