As the stream of energy and fragmented memories flooded his mind, he couldn't help but be drawn to the golden energy. A glimmer of a smile played on his lips as he wondered what type of ability would be granted.

Unfortunately for Cain, just as the golden energy was about to be forcefully taken from the ice mage's energy pool and implanted into his, it shattered into pieces, leaving nothing more than raw energy. The smile on the young man's face disappeared.
