--- Wednesday 24th July 1991 ---
As I run down the street in my exercise clothes, I think of what's happened in the past month. Mostly, I've just been training my abilities and body as best I could and hanging out with my new family.
My relationship with Rose and Arthur has improved too. I feel like we are more like a family now, instead of me just living in their house.
Technically we are family as they legally adopted me a few days after I arrived.
I haven't called them mom or dad yet, but I've thought about calling them that. They've made it clear to me that they wouldn't mind. I've never really had a real mom and dad as far as I can remember, so this is new to me.
Maybe I will soon.
I shake my head to clear my head. I'll get to it when I get to it. No need to think so deeply.
I managed to persuade Rose and Arthur to get me a gym membership instead of going to the junkyard. It's a lot nicer to use proper equipment instead of lifting old and rusty car parts.
My initial 1-rep deadlift maximum was about 300 lbs., but now after a month of practice, I can deadlift about 400 lbs. All the other people at the gym kind of looked like they thought they were hallucinating seeing me, a ten-year-old, lift all of that weight. It was pretty funny to me. I almost burst out laughing while still holding up the bar.
I found the current record for heaviest deadlift is from a guy called Magnusson. He deadlifted 925 lbs. in this year's Strongman competition. I'll be able to beat him soon enough though.
I can sprint a mile in about 3 minutes, and it only gets me breathing a little heavy. I've got some great endurance built up from running every day. I can go 25 mph at full speed. I'm faster than the fastest man in the world... at least the one that has been documented by non-magicals.
My current goal is to be faster and stronger than Captain America. Cause why not, right? He can go about 60 mph if I remember right.
I turn the bend the block before my house, and break myself out of my thoughts. I just ran 10 miles, so I head inside and go to my room after getting some water from the tap and chugging it down.
Cold water after exercising feels so~ nice...
I look over at the clock and see it's 2 PM right now, meaning that Rose and Arthur both are at work right now.
*Yawn*
'I'm pretty tired. I think I'll take a nap.'

*Tap Tap*
*Groan*
I get up out of bed and investigate the noise. Lo and behold, I find an owl outside my window with a letter in its beak. My eyes widen a little.
'Is that the Hogwarts letter? It must be!'
I rush over and open the window to let the owl inside.
"Hello there." I say to the owl.
It tilts its head as if asking why I'm talking to an animal... I thought it wouldn't be too weird though.
Ah whatever...
It steps inside and passes the letter over to me. Once I grab it, it just flies off out of the window.
I turn the letter over and observe it. The envelope is made of thick yellowish parchment and has the Hogwarts seal on it. I rip it open to find two sheets of parchment inside.

Dear Mr. Culver,

'Almost exactly as I remember. I suppose I'm glad it is. Means the knowledge I have is still at least somewhat applicable. Interesting that it shows my name as Culver, not Potter. Odd... I guess it is because I was legally adopted... maybe? I was technically adopted by the Dursley's too, but in the story, the letter read Mr. Potter...'
Whatever. I'll worry later. Not as if I need the name anyways.
I grab a sheet of paper and an envelope from downstairs as quick as I can and run back up to my room. I write out my acceptance and say that we won't be needing a guide to lead us to the magical world. I already know where to go.
Will that tip off Dumbledore somehow? I don't know.
But then again, do I care? Not really.
Screw canon, it wasn't good anyways.
As long as I am strong enough, it won't matter. Dealing with Voldemort won't be that hard as long as I don't come in contact with him since I know about all his horcruxes. As long as I don't let him find out in time, he won't be able to do anything about his death.
Enough about that.
I wonder how I'll tell Rose, and Arthur? Maybe I'll just tell them straight up. I still don't care to keep who I am a secret from those I care about.
On that note, I want to take a moment to complain about heroes. I can somewhat understand the need for a secret identity, but still. Their loved ones would be so much better protected if they knew to expect trouble. Bad guys will still make trouble either way, so you might as well prepare them for it. This is all assuming that they can keep your secret, but I think there aren't many idiots who would tell everyone they see that they know a superhero.
Moving on.
I guess I'll just tell them all at dinner tonight.
*Sigh*
'I hope it goes okay.'
--- Dinnertime ---
Rose and Arthur are both sitting with me at the dinner table finishing off the remnants of food.
Rose has a knack for making just enough food for us all to be full without leftovers.
"I have some news for you guys."
They all look over to me.
"I'm a wizard." I toss over the Hogwarts letter to land in front of them on the table.
They look at it and pause.
"Called it." Rose nodded and smiled.
I pause.
'What?'
"Yeah, you did Rosie." Arthur's eyebrows are raised as he said to his wife.
"Wait a moment. I wasn't hiding it, but how did you know?"
"Well Harry, you could call it a mothers' intuition... we know all~." She smiles at me.
"Haha." I laugh.
"Ever since that doctors visit, I've suspected you were magical. It was too strange the way you were suddenly so strong and healthy. The only explanation I could come up with was magic."
"But, how do you know about magic? Magicals try to keep it hidden the best they can as far as I know."
"I'm a witch, Harry." Rose says. "My father was a wizard."
Aha~ This makes sense now.
But why hasn't she used any magic?
Maybe she just doesn't want to?
Whatever...
"Well... it's good to know you both don't care." I smile weakly. "I was a little worried I might be kicked out..." I said in a small voice.
"Harry." Rose says disapprovingly. "After all this time, you still think I could bear to kick you out?" She finishes weakly with her eyes tearing up. She feels so hurt it almost makes me want to leave the room, but I know I shouldn't.
I look down and my hands tighten. My gut gets a tight knot in it.
"When I first heard about your life at the Dursleys, I promised myself to give you a proper home where you could be safe and happy... I wanted to give you a family again..." She comes over and holds me tightly.
I relax a little.
Contact like this normally makes me feel like my skin is crawling, but with Rose it's different.
I feel comfortable in her arms...
'Like a mom...' I realize.
I haven't fully opened up to Rose or Arthur yet. I've had a nagging feeling that they might not accept me all this time.
"Thank you..." My eyes tear up. "Mom." I say quietly as my tears fall.
I hug back now, trying to show how much I care about her now through my hug.
It takes her only a moment to realize what I just called her, but I know she heard me since she holds me even tighter, and I can feel her radiate so much joy.
--- 3rd Person ---
While Harry is having a heartfelt moment with his mother, Arthur is just sitting there.
Arthur is quite happy for Harry to finally accept them as his parents. He smiles serenely at the sight of his wife leaning over the side of the seat and holding Harry.
