Otto opened his eyes.
Familiar smells, familiar surroundings, familiar people—all had returned, except his state of mind.
Otto tried to sit up, but as soon as he moved, someone pushed down on his shoulders and said gently, "Don't move, you're not yet ready for any strenuous activity."
"How long have I been out?"
"Three hours, you were too worked up, so the doctor gave you a sedative to calm your emotions."
Jane sounded relaxed, but she quickly asked, "What are you trying to do?"
Gao Guang knew he had caused a serious problem. Although he did not regret it, he knew if it wasn't handled properly, there would be very, very serious consequences.
Fortunately, he was supposed to meet with Jane anyway, so she could come and save the day.
Otto's eyes were a bit red. He looked at his leg that wasn't completely bandaged, just covered with a cloth, but he knew how deep the cut was and that it would ruin his mobility.
Furious, Otto now felt like vomiting.
