Meng Tingyuan knew he was powerless to change the situation, and even though he knew he should stay calm, he couldn't resist the anger rising fiercely within him.
He strode up to Qin He and punched the latter's delicate features.
Qin He took the punch without flinching or dodging, silent as if he were dead.
"Don't think it's okay just because you're silent! Qin He, this isn't over! I won't let you off easily!" Meng Tingyuan's chest heaved fiercely as he said viciously, "If you dare to mistreat my sister, I won't let you have a moment's peace."
As soon as Meng Tingyuan finished speaking, he turned to leave, but then he heard Qin He's calm voice.
He said, "I will treat her well, better than I treat myself."
Meng Tingyuan turned his head and saw Qin He wiping the blood from the corner of his lips with his thumb.
He paused mid-step, his heart still seething with anger: "You don't have to sugarcoat things here with me!"
