Ultimately, our little crew gathered. When I saw each of them, it felt like forever since we had last seen each other and not a few minutes. 

We exchanged nods and uncertain glances. They all stared at Elise, though, surely in awe at how grown up she had become. 

I was still wondering about that myself. 

But dragons work wonders. Another one was standing right before us. It wouldn't be long before we meet other species, and I would no longer be surprised if a worm suddenly talked. 

Clasping his hands and somewhat displaying a joyful expression, the green-scaled dragon, who has yet to introduce himself to us, smiled ruefully upon inspecting and accounting for the rest of us who entered the labyrinth. 

Seeing my companion with no one amiss was good news to me. 

Otherwise, if one or two weren't here, that only meant they got stuck in the trial.
