"Ryder… what the hell are you doing here?"
When Xander asked that question, his breath hitched as unwanted memories he threw at the back of his head resurfaced in his head. His irises slowly dilated, recalling everything that Georgina spewed that he deemed nonsense.
"No," whispered Xander, shaking his head, denying the sudden conclusion in his head. "Impossible."
"Hmm?" Ryder furrowed his brows, wiping the blood that was covering his eye with the back of his fist. "What are you mumbling about?"
"What the hell are you doing here, Ryder?" Xander repeated through his gritted teeth, ignoring the tone Ryder had used.
If there was one person Xander could forgive, that was this person. After all, Ryder was the only real friend Xander had ever considered, knowing whatever it was, Ryder would always have his back. Therefore, even though it was obvious what was going on here, Xander just couldn't seem to accept that so easily.
