Chương 157: Awake

The annoying beeping sound from the medical device was making her headache so badly that she wanted to fling out the window.

Could someone please turn it off? Layla thought as she winced from the sound.

She slowly opened her eyes and was greeted with the view of several medical devices attached to her body.

She tried to move but her movement was welcomed by pain in her right arm and the rest of her body. Her whole body ached but the pain in her right arm was worse.

What happened to her? Where was she? Layla wondered as she looked around the room. The walls were painted white, and with the medical devices in the room, she deduced she was in a hospital.

How did she get here and who was that woman sitting on the chair across the room, snoring?

Layla squinted her eyes as the annoying light in the room poured into her eyes.

She recognized the woman to be Sarah their housekeeper.
