Chương 3: Ch.3 Let's go the alley... today!

A week had passed since the first time Prof. McGonagall came to visit me at the orphanage. Today we are supposed to go shopping for all the school supplies that I will need. On top of that, I will be staying at the wizard side until I depart for Hogwarts. Prof. McGonagall had already informed the Orphanage about everything.

I was in my room waiting for her to come. I had already packed my stuff in my trunk. I was eager to see Diagon Alley and all the shops. Furthermore, I was especially excited to get my wand. I wondered what kind of wand would I get? Would it be heartstring, unicorn hair or something else entirely. What about the wood and its size? I couldn't wait any longer to get my wand.

As I was thinking, this Matron came, and she had a smile on her face. I picked up my trunk and I walked downstairs with her. Prof. McGonagall was standing at the door waiting for me. I put down my trunk and I greeted her, "Good morning, Prof."

She smiled and said, "Good morning, Jonathan." She looked at me and asked, "You have everything ready?"

I nodded, and she said, "Good, let's go now." I nodded, and I turned to Matron and I hugged her and said, "I'll miss you." She hugged me back, and she said, "Oh, I'll miss you too. Remember to eat properly and study well. Don't squander off this opportunity, alright?"

I smiled and I nodded. She ruffled my hair and kissed me on my forehead. I let go of her and I picked up my bag and I walked off with prof. We walked to the road and I asked her, "Where will we be going to buy this stuff?"

She calmly said. "We'll be going to Diagon Alley to buy all the things you will need."

I asked her, "Are we going by that carriage?"

She looked at me and said, "We'll be taking the knight bus."

A sense of dread washed over me, but I did my best not to show it on my face. Why was I panicking, well because the knight bus might as well have been a roller coaster on the road. It was a death trap to say the least. She went and pulled out her wand and raised it, and a bus came in a woosh and stopped precisely before us.

I was looking at the thing, and it was dirty and huge. I was afraid to get on this thing. But Prof. McGonagall smiled and said, "What are you waiting for? We don't have all day. Come on."

I reluctantly nodded and stepped into the bus, and she said to the conductor where we wanted to go, and the bus started to move. She looked at me and said, "Hold on tight.". As she said it, the bus started to move, and I held onto the post with my dear life.

It looked like I was a Koala and the post was the tree and I looked at her and I saw that she was amused by this and in my mind, I was like 'How are you finding it funny?!' The bus was moving at such speeds that it was incredible.

I was more impressed with the driver because he didn't hit a single thing, his reaction speed was simply astounding. We reached our destination in just a few minutes. I was proud of myself for not puking and spilling my guts out in the bus. Is that the reason, the bus was dirty? Have people been puking all over?

Well, all that sense of pride went out the drain because as soon as I stepped outside the bus. I started puking like a damn fountain. My head was spinning, and I was in no condition to walk.

Prof. McGonagall chuckled lightly, and she helped me; after a few minutes of rest. We were finally able to move. We entered Diagon alley through the same brick wall that Harry entered through.

Standing in front of the wall and Prof. tapped the bricks, and they started moving apart, and they opened up a way for us. I saw the real Diagon Alley. The whole place was filled with people from all over the place. With different styles of clothing and accessories, some people carried staff with them. Like a proper magical staff.

I was amazed by the scene in front of me. Prof. said, "Impressed already? There are a lot of things that you have yet to see." She looked at me and asked, "Ready to go shopping?" I nodded.

She asked for my hand and I grabbed her hand, and we went shopping. We got the books from Flourish and Blotts. We got the robes and the uniform from Madam Malkin's. The equipment for potions and herbology from the Daily Apothecary. We got the equipment for astronomy from a different shop.

After getting all the stuff required, we went to get my wand at Olivander's. I was the most excited about this part.

As we walked into the shop, a little bell rang, notifying our presence to the owner. I looked around. The shop was very old, and it smelled like wood and animals. From inside the shop out came Olivander.

He looked and said Prof. And he asked, "How have you been? Minerva?"

She smiled and nodded, "I have been well. How's work been treating you?"

He chuckled and said, "These old bones still have some life in them." He looked at me and asked, "And who is this young man? Whom have you brought to my shop?"

Prof. Looked at me and I introduced myself, "Hello, I am Jonathan… I am here to get a wand."

He chuckled and said, "Of course, we'll find you a wand that is just perfect for you. But remember, the wand chooses its master."

He then went to get a wand. Prof. Then tapped on my shoulder and said, "You try out the wands while I go and get some school work done, alright?"

I nodded, and she smiled and nodded and went out of the shop. I wondered if she was the one who was tasked with getting the stone or something.

As I was thinking that, Ollivander came with a box in his hand. He said, "Come give it a try." He took out the wand from the box and gave it to me.

He said "This one is an old creation of mine 11" long cedar wood and dragon heartstring core". I gave it a swish, and it reacted violently, taking out boxes from their shelves on the right side of the shop.

I gave the wand back to him, and he said, "Perhaps not this one. Don't be disheartened." He then went to get another wand.

He showed me many other wands with many cores, some with unicorn hair, phoenix feathers and many kinds of woods, Ash woods, applewood, alder wood. None of which worked for me.

Some reacted violently, some didn't react at all. After finding that none of his wands were compatible. He said, "Wait, let me check the back." He went to get wands from the back.

I sighed and waited for him to come. I didn't expect that I would repel wands like this. He came with an old wooden box in his hand. He dusted the box and said, "This is one of my father's creations. He liked to work with different kinds of cores and woods. If there is a wand for you, then it is here."

He handed me a wand, it was jet black in colour with a curved handle. The whole body of the wand curved and flowed beautifully. As I held the wand. I felt a connection that was forming between me and the wand.

The tip of the wand glowed, and a blinding light was produced. Ollivander smiled and said, "10⅓ inch long ebony wood, slightly rigid." He stopped, and I asked him, "What is the core made of?"

He looked at me and said, "It is made from a very, very difficult material… its core is made of thestral's hair. It is a potent, but a tricky core to master; only a witch or wizard who is capable of accepting death could do so."

I was a little shocked. He looked at me and said, "As I told you before. The wand chooses its master. And it seems like this one has taken quite a liking to you. Treat her well, and she will never disappoint you."

He nodded and said, "Now let's get you a holster for that wand along with the proper cleaning kit. Please treat her well… she is very valuable."

I chuckled and nodded, "I will. Thank you."

I waited outside the shop for her. She was nowhere to be seen. I was getting a little bored. Next to the shop was another store that sold pets. I decided to check it out. I walked into the shop and the owner asked me, "What are you looking for?"

I smiled and said, "I am looking, thank you." He smiled and nodded, he turned, and I heard him clicking his tongue. I ignored him and browsed through the shop. I saw so many owls, they had their special area. It was separate from all the other animals. They were in a large cage. They were sitting on trees, somewhere sleeping, while others looked curiously towards me.

I waved at them and some hooted, it was nice interacting with them. But owls weren't the only thing that were there, there were lizards, iguanas, mouses, cats and snakes. Most of the cold creatures were… cold. They didn't care for anything, they just slept or ignored me completely.

As I was walking through the snakes, I saw a small white snake, coiled up. It looked weak, I wasn't sure if this snake would survive. It looked at me and I felt bad, I wanted to help the little guy. As I was thinking this. I felt a tap on my shoulder and I turned and saw it was Prof. She said, "I thought I told you to stay at Ollivander's."

I said, "I am sorry, but you were talking long, so I decided to check out this place."

She then sighed and nodded, she then looked at me and said, "It's alright." She then looked at the snake, and she asked, "Do you like it?"

I shook my head and said, "I don't want it. I was just looking."

She looked at me and said, "That's not the question I asked."

I nodded and said, "I do, it reminds me of myself. I would like to help it…"

She chuckled and said, "Alright then, consider it a gift for joining the school."

I looked at her and asked, "Are you sure it's okay?"

She smiled and nodded. The shop owner suddenly slid into view. Prof. talked to the owner, and he got the snake out of the glass cage, and he put it in a smaller glass cage and gave it to me. He also gave me food and some medicine that he was feeding the snake.

After the shopping was done, she took me to leaky cauldron. She booked me a room. I would be staying here until school begins. We were in my room. It was a medium size room, a real medium size room. There was a bed, a cupboard, a night stand, a desk and the best part was the view. It gave me a good view of the outside and the room was well lit as well.

Prof. handed me a ticket and said, "This is your train ticket. The train will arrive at platform 9¾ I suggest you get there early. It gets very hectic. Get a good seat, and they will serve a meal at the train, so don't fill up on candies… okay?"

I looked at her and smiled and said, "I understand. Thank you again, Prof. McGonagall, for all of this."

She then gave me some money as allowance. She patted my head and said, "I am happy to help you, Jonathan." She then said, after a brief pause, "Do not get in trouble. While you stay here, alright?"

I nodded, and she smiled and patted my head, and she got out of my room. I went ahead and saw her out.

Greetingsss Readersss,

I hope you liked this chapter. The next chapter is going to be interesting. I will be making a little bits of chages but nothing too huge and I wanted to ask, when I called McGonnagall. Prof. the whole chapter did it feel weird? And secondly when I write Prof. the charaters are pronouncing the whole word Professor.

And to the last part, I asked like which one charater should join the harem. Because two are already fixed. But then some people were like remove Victoria. I don't think I can remove her. So this question is mostly for the old readers. Do you think I should remove Victoria?

Y.

N.

And that is it. If you liked this chapter, comment down below and throw some stones while you are at it. I'll see you in the next one. Bye.
