In that 'useless' cell retaining Callis Halo, she was 'there' doing nothing but letting anger consume her weakened mind.
Amisdt her own chaos, a different type of chaos was begetting as The Pénelopéan was raging a war outside.
But away from the act, she was alone.
She was peaceful.
Hence, so peaceful that her heartbeat had become the new companion.
Or was it?
"I didn't expect this sort of turn of event when I heard from the Commander. You must be 'The Halo'.. The First Lieutenant Of Lambda Rosé..."
Appearing as an angel, all in white, Arkus made his entrance in front of Callis Halo, The Exiled.
"...I don't need saving. Go away.."
Speaking from the heart, Callis Halo wanted to be left alone.
She had yet to find a reason to fight back up.
"I agree. What you need is a good knock to wake you up.. You are someone My Commander acknowledged. To think you are in this state, you are shaming my Commander's word.."
But aloof to such taunting, Callis Halo whispered once again to Arkus..
"....I don't need saving. Go away..."
To which Arkus concluded, since he had been there to.
That place that wouldn't let him be free.
Pain.
"I commend your state of mind. You are strong. You seem strong. Those tears of yours that no one can see; I can see them. Those teeth grits of pain you are doing; I can feel them. Listen! I've been where you are and part of me still is. That state of pain that doens't begone despite forgiving ourselves. But such composure will only disminish you. There is no need to kill yourself for the weak. You are a being like me.. We do not need to bow before great powers but only towards Our Beliefs. So I will ask this this one time: Do you need saving?"
Under the screams and desparation of thousands, Callis Halo was at an standpoint where her whole course life was going to be changed.
The self she was taught to believe in was so she could be manipulated.
But a simple action as to break apart the rules bestowed on her head.
And she finally discovered a new way to live.
She finally got that power over her.
"....I.."
Hesitating for a moment, Callis Halo couldn't finish her words and instead, the tears that couldn't flow out showed themselves..
Tears that would normally flow to the depth of her heart showed themselves in broad daylight..
"I....need.."
Three weeks.
That's the amount of time Callis Halo spent in her cell, waiting for an absolution of some sort.
And the view of Arkus did a subtle change in Callis Halo's heart.
"I know what you need. Bear this title as I bring it to me wherever I go waging wars for My Savage Deity: This one is of The Crescent Knight Of The Cynthian Order and The First Lieutenant Of The Pénelopéan Fleet; 'Arkus'."
Bringing down the bars that were holding Callis Halo, Arkus reached out a hand to Callis Halo in hope that she would just follow him.
"....Pénelopéan?"
But as she caught on to whom Arkus was, Callis Halo suddenly flashed forward with a punch in motion.
*Baf!*
Crashing the wall down the hallway, Arkus took some real damage which hadn't happened for a while...
"PENELOPEAN!!! I WILL KILL YOU ALL!!"
Standing tall as her heart started to burn with anger again.
It stood clear to Callis Halo.
The reason she lost everything;
It was because of Them!
On the other side, Arkus getting up with difficulty as blood leaked through crushed nasal cavity.
"Woman, chet! They need a good beating sometimes.."
Arkus.
Callis Halo.
The fight was on!
