Chương 9: Hassride University

"The last lady standing beside Mr. Yash is Miss Veronica. She will be taking you, Lingua Franca."

The teachers introduced only gave them a small nod like their heads were too heavy and threatening to fall off.

"I heard some of you were looking to ask the authorities how you got here from your houses? Well, you were all drugged and brought here.

A Lot of you might be wondering where this university is based because no one has ever been told before entering the school and those who graduated were made to sign a contract to never reveal its location.

There is a device installed in them that the moment they mention the name Hassride, the location of the person, his information, and all we need to know about him will appear before us. Our people outside will then deal with whoever is told and who told whom.

Now, we are not trying to scare you or anything, we just want to inform you for we know some students who love adventure, and experiencing new things and want to know why something is forbidden are amongst you. You can give it a try and see what happens to you and whoever you tell. Now, we will introduce you to the brief history of Hassride university."

Teacher Yash pressed a button on his wristwatch and the whiteboard behind them immediately lit up with "WELCOME TO HASSRIDE UNIVERSITY"

Then it changed and read " HISTORY OF HASSRIDE UNIVERSITY".

"Our university is the oldest university in Povich country," Said teacher Li Tan as he paused to look at the faces of the students who were confused, stunned, or staring blankly like Vicky.

"Yes, you are right to be feeling whatever emotions you are feeling right now. Hassride university is not in any of the countries you know. In case you don't know what Povich country is, I will be kind enough to brief you on it.

Povich country is a country that separates herself from the economy of the world yet she's richer than all the countries combined. It was founded thousands of years back, before those other countries could think of what civilization was, Povich country was already civilized.

The country is ruled by the royal family. Being an heir apparent doesn't guarantee a person's chance of becoming the new monarch.

There is a way for the new monarch to be known from birth. That is all you should know about Povich country"

The students were left in awe at how rich the country was. They wished they could be allowed to visit such a place.

"Now, about Hassride. Hassride university like I said is the oldest university in Povich which automatically became the oldest university in the world.

It was built in the remembrance of the greatest Empress of Povich who died along this road in an accident.

The Emperor was heartbroken and because of that built Hassride university as a memorial for his Empress.

Hassride university opens its portal to the world once every year. Every year, two students who wish to school in Hassride but cannot afford the tuition and other fees are given scholarships by the school. In turn, they will work for the royal house while paying for the scholarship every month until they are able to pay it all. It will be their choice to either leave or stay in the royal house after paying off their debts."

The students all turned their gaze to The two "poor" Indians who were given scholarships with envy, jealousy, and hatred visible in their eyes.

Jiya shrank her neck and Ayaan puffed out his chest. So what if they are all angry that he and his sister get to be in the royal house four years from now? it's not like they can beat them up to vent. Who told them to be rich? sometimes, being poor has its advantages. He smiled with his teeth on display, making the students want to explode.

"The reason we make them pay the money in the future is for them to not feel inferior to the rich kids and for the rich kids to not call them beggars or freeloaders.

A case like that was reported thirty years ago where a scholar was abused and bullied by her dorm mate and was too scared to report her. The main reason for the bullying was that the rich lady felt she was more deserving of the scholarship than her dorm mate who in the end was killed by mistake on the last day she was bullied.

The school has lots of curriculum for you and different uniforms for different days and fixed subjects.

On Mondays, you will be taught Lingua Francas, public relations, and Calculations.

On Tuesdays, you will be studying Earth Science and Macrocosm.

On Wednesday you will be studying business and politics, Calligraphy and Painting.

On Thursdays will be for Chemistry and physics, Music and Acting.

Fridays will be military and war strategies.

Saturdays and Sundays will be for visiting places for lessons. Your teacher might decide to take you to study what's outside the earth or the Earth itself.

Whatever places need to be visited and whatever extra practical needs to be carried out will be done in those two days. Those two days totally depend on your teachers.

There won't be any mistakes in time-sharing because the teachers will discuss amongst themselves before any teacher chooses those two days for their practicals.

Lessons start at 8:00 am. If you are a second late, that will be your problem because the classroom door will immediately shut itself close by 8:00 am on dot.

It can only be opened to teachers. And how that is done, it's none of your business.

The rules are well written clearly in the booklets given to you, but the principal wants them to be told to you for them to stick to your brains because there are a lot of you who would rather choose to die than read simple rules.

All rules are very important and carry a hefty penalty for anyone broken.

1. Disrespecting a member of the school workers. Be it a teacher or a janitor. Punishment, immediate expulsion.

2. Indecent dressing and behavior on the school premises. Punishment is two weeks of detention.

3. Bullying. Punishment is two weeks of detention. Excessive bullying, punishment, an eye for an eye then expulsion.

4. Altercation of any form is not allowed on the school premises or in your dorms. Keep all your anger buckled up until Fridays, or you can yell in your bathroom, and kick the bathroom walls to vent, that's fine too, but nothing must be damaged.

5. Sexual harassment of any form or kind. Punishment, Expulsion for rape and trauma, three weeks detention for anything lesser.

6. Pregnancy and abortion. punishment, expulsion.

7. Visiting the opposite gender's dormitory without a valid reason, Punishment is two weeks of detention. Note that only the school authorities can determine what reason is valid and what reason isn't.

8. Not attending classes. Week detention for any day you miss a class and Expulsion for the fifth time.

9. Not attending to your assignments. Punishment, A week of detention for any assignment not done.

10. Conceptual romantic relationships. Allowed. But forcing someone through threats or abusing your partners. Punishment, Expulsion.

40. Whatever religion you practice, praying quietly in your dorm without disturbing your dorm mate is allowed. The moment your dorm mate reports you being a loudspeaker and it is confirmed, you will be barred from praying. you can do it in your hearts afterward, no one will care.

Hijabs for the Muslim ladies are allowed, provided it does not cover your uniforms.

50. Have an unsolvable grudge with someone that needed to be vented with fists? Fridays will be the only days you can do that. At the competition ground. You challenge whoever makes you angry. Whoever you want to take revenge on.

Injuries are allowed, but killing is not allowed, unless they cause the annihilation of your family or directly cause the death of your loved ones, or are directly after your life.

Proves of that will be brought to the school authorities and after a thorough investigation and we find out you lied just to kill, you will not only be killed, but your family will suffer the consequences too for raising a person like you. So think twice before doing anything stupid.

Breaking of bones? You will have to explain your reasons to the school authorities and if your reasons are deemed insufficient, you will be having your bones broken too. In a more painful way. I guarantee you, it's not something you would like to experience."

The students cringed and he smiled.

From all the rules that were stated, Vicky was only happy with the "No disturb" rules. She could have her beauty sleep without any disturbance. But her happiness was meant to be short-lived because, in a while, she will be getting a merciless heartbreak.
