As soon as Sargon's voice died, which left many of the fairy folk of Pixie hollow confused, a cute and mischievous voice filled with bubbly laughter echoed in the air.
"Hihihi~ How did you find me~" Then the air shimmered revealing a large shadow that covered the air above them.
A large figure appeared, dressed in large green, white, and black petals in the form of a dress, shirt, and jacket respectively, long orange hair waved magically in the air and lime green eyes that sparkled with mischievous and curious wonder stared down at Sargon.
"Ah. It's Fufalla, phew she scared me."
"Hahaha, to think it would be a Great Wandie."
"Hey Fufualla, how are you!"
"Hey, you are not here to pull pranks right?!"
"She better behave it's a special ceremony after all."
Lively chatter and calls rang out from the stands, many of the fairy folk having recognized the intruder.
Sargon picked up many things from the noise, one being that this creature up there, not floating but flying was a fairy as well. The other was that she was a variant species call Great Wandies.
She was large, big enough to hold an average-sized fairy as if holding a pet bottle, she had large wings also transparent, making her float there, though it seemed like she ran on a different kind of magic than pixie dust.
'Interesting.'
"Hihi, hi everyone, sorry to drop by like this. I was originally sent here by Queen Tutupia to Queen Clarion, and I was told to behave so don't worry. But you know me, I couldn't resist and hid as I found this all interesting, I have never been to a Never Fairy Arrival Ceremony before, also hearing that this fellow over here didn't come from laughter like us, made me so interested."
She spewed everything out in one breath and then turned to peer down at Sargon with almost solar flare-level intensity.
"So tell me, how did you know I was here? I was sure I had casted an invisibility spell and no fairy has ever found me when I use it, not even the strongest among us Great Wandies."
Sargon was not put off by someone looking down at him, he had faced being that could gobble planets like popcorn before.
So calmly took a step back and turned around towards an exasperated Clarion, she seemed familiar with this fairy, perhaps something to do with the warning she was being given about not pulling off pranks.
"Well, I would, but tell me what kind of fairy are you again, I keep hearing this Great Wandie but what does this mean?" Sargon calmly replied with a question.
"Ah, yes, we are also Never Fairies, but instead of magic talent and all that season changing we use magic spells, well wish magic to be specific, and to do that we have wands to cast wishes, thus the name, Great Wanded Fairies~" Fufalla said in a sing-song tone.
'Hmm, there had been mention of different fairies, but in the books, just like that fire fairy too. And to cast and grant wishes, this is all too strange, I didn't land in a variant universe with the Fairly Odd Parents world right?' Thought Sargon.
"I see, well good to know, as for how I know, well I felt the air change that's all." He ended with a casual shrug.
"Eh?"
Everyone was dumbfounded.
Though Vidia and the rest of the gathered wind fairies were intrigued, the same expression was on the Storm talent fairies, as well. They too dealt with the atmosphere.
Now many were curious about the talent he might show as they started to chatter about that.
"Well this had been informative, Fufalla you are more than welcome to watch the ceremony as it is just a mere representation, we will talk soon after it is done, okay." Clarion spoke, bringing order to the place once more.
"Okay~" With that, she took out her wand, a long, 20-inch-long brown stick. With a wave, a few mutterings, and some magic dust, she shrunk down to the size of an average-sized fairy.
Sargon analyzed all this with a slight squint.
"Now could the representatives of the talents come forth." Clarion called to get the event started.
The representatives flew forward, Clarion stepped forward toward Sargon and waved her arm, causing pixie dust to gently float and land on the floor. Sudden toadstools popped up one after another in a circle all around Sargon.
She took a step back and let the representatives float towards these mushrooms, each one placed an element or item on them, perhaps due to the magic involved either within the representatives or Clarions mushrooms because the moment the items and elements were placed they started to glow gently and float.
"Now Sargon choose." Gestured Clarion.
"Wait!" A voice called out.
Everyone turned toward the voice. And saw a Fufalla fumbling about her leave purse?
'Wonder where she kept that?' Mussed Sargon as he sent a fleeting glance at her modest chest. She was charming, a little naughty, but a beauty in her own right.
"Aha! Found it." She exclaimed in joy, totally ignoring the looks being sent toward her.
With a swift movement, she was next to Clarion with excitement bubbling within her, that was not that hard to visibly notice.
"I just had a great idea, since Sargon here is not a regular fairy, I just thought, why not also see if he can use a wand?" She said.
With a small frown, Clarion looked at the shrunken wand in the fairy's hand. Different from the one she had used this one was not just a different color but also size when placed next to the one she had used.
It was black in color, shining in the morning light as if it was more a gem instead of a tree branch. And it was bigger too, at least twice as big and one and a half times longer.
"Fufalla, you do know that only you Great Wandies and mermaids can use your wands correctly right?" Clarion squinted at this fairy, now that she had shrunk, this Clarion hoped would intimidate her into giving up this plan of hers.
Perhaps it was even a prank! And at times when these wands were involved they would cause serious harm. After all the bigger the wand the more the power but also the more the trouble, each wand had its own emotions and ambitions, making them difficult to tame, only when put to sleep could they be often used.
"Come on Queen Clarion, are you not curious if he can also use them?" Fufalla, not the least bit scared countered.
This brought a hush over the place. It kind of made sense and was interesting too.
Sargon was an enigma, even to those he had been acquainted with, his magic, origins, and well as demeanor seemed otherworldly to them. So yes they all were curious too.
"Bring it over as well." Sargon's calm voice called out, carrying boundless confidence within it.
He was curious too, he had dealt with all manner of magic and concepts to this that was both physical and immaterial.
Still, in this universe governed by different laws, he wanted to know how much of his abilities he had retained.
"Hihi! I knew you were fun!" Giggled Fufalla as she flew over to him.
"If you say so, Sargon." Clarion had to give up seeing him agree.
Floating once more she did the same waving again, this time only a single mushroom popped up.
Placing it on it, it floated, seeing this she sent a wink toward Sargon and quickly flew back to the place she was.
Sargon's girls flew towards Fufalla, the ones that were acquainted with her such as Rosetta and the others greeted her, with Tinker Bell being the only one that met her for the first time as well.
"Hey, Fufalla. How are you?" Greeted Fawn.
"I've been good." She replied, but never once did she take her eyes off Sargon who had yet to begin.
Many of the girls noticed this and began to worry, as they knew her character.
"Fufalla, what wand is that?" Rosetta asked in a worried tone, her drawl dragging at the heavy sinking feeling in her gut.
The rest of them turned towards her, the same with the fairies in earshot.
"Hihi! That wand is the one that Queen Tutupia said was once from a great tree that towered way up in the sky but got struck by a big bolt of lightning. It is so powerful that she doesn't dare even use it, much less have the power to put it to sleep, good thing is that it likes to sleep a lot, and even if used it doesn't move, just doesn't wave it around crazily and everything will be okay." Turning around towards them she informed them calmly.
As if everything was under control.
"Uhm, does spinning around in circles count?" Iridessa's concerned yet worried and scared tone tore the atmosphere apart and made it all silent.
They slowly turned toward Sargon and saw something that made them in awe for a moment before a spine-chilling fear gripped them.
Around Sargon, the elements and items glowed brightly and danced and orbited around him, like he was the sun and they the planets, many of the fairies watched in awe.
But the thing that made Fufalla and Sargon's girls almost faint was the fact the all-powerful, yet grouchy wand was among them!
"Uh-oh."
Uh-oh indeed, but for whom I wonder?
