Chương 2: Modern Cinderella

The girl could see everyone turn away their faces awkwardly who were earlier looking at her in a perverted manner. A few men who were yet noticing her, she stared back at them in much anger and showed off her middle finger to them and they quickly turned away their faces. The girl was now dressed in her grey tee shirt and the same skirt that she was wearing earlier. She quickly took out a pair of red flip flops from her bag and for them instead.

"Splashhhh!!!"

Now without any hesitation the girl jumped on the water splashing the water all over. Even the earlier cleverly acting conductor had now turned away his face not wanting to get scolding from the bus stand authorities. Clearly Charla came across as a girl who could not be dealt with easily.

Charla slowly started to walk towards a raised footpath on which several tiny shops were situated which were currently all closed. It was pouring heavily and the girl's Tee shirt was already extremely wet. She tightly covered her bag with her hands as this was the only property she had.

She walked on the raised platform which was covered by thin tin sheets. "It is so late, I might not even get any auto rickshaw right now." The girl looked around her as several night buses were now holding with people rapidly stepping out. This was the thing about Metropolitan city where every young person would come in a pursuit to fulfil their dreams. This was the biggest city in the entire Europe, known to have work for everyman that enters here.

Charla had also arrived in the city with the same hope. The girl had a very dramatic life for 20 years of her life span. She originally came from a very rich family living in the outskirts of a European city far away from Metropolitan. The first ten years of her life were extremely amazing and she was always protected by her rich parents. But suddenly her parents passed away in a road accident when she was just 11 years old and her father's three brothers by fraud captured the entire property and family business. Charla's three aunts were extremely cruel to her and she was no less than a servant in her own house for the rest of the nine years of her life.

She had done everything from cleaning to cooking while making sure that side by side she also completes her education. Few days back the girl had completed her two years course of graduation and had thus decided to flee from her own house.

She was now 20 years old and had now entered the city with new dreams and hopes. She barely managed to steal a few currency notes from the house and had grabbed all her clothes which fitted well in the small bag that she was holding. The bag also hard a small photo frame of her with her parents which was perhaps the last memory she had of her parents.

All thanks to her aunts Charla had become a very strong girl and had eventually started to reply back to them very rudely. She was often beaten by her own family members but it only made her even more stubborn and strong. Today the girl was extremely confident and fearless and she knew that she could handle any situation by herself.
