When Stephan opened his eyes, the first thing he saw was the shadow of something heavy on top of him. It was so heavy that it made him suffocate. There was a time when he read a story about a fat cat who sat down on the chest of its owner and almost caused him to suffocate. He didn't want the same thing to happen but he felt drowsy and dizzy. He wanted to return to the darkness of slumber again and rest more. However, the foul smell made his consciousness drift back to reality. There was also something tucking his sleeve repeatedly.
A sharp pain forced him to jolt his consciousness completely to reality. What he saw in front of him was terrifying; there was a rat, ten times bigger than the normal rats on Earth. Nothing surprised him anymore but the pain kept circling in his nerves, telling him to move or he would be eaten. The rat dug its sharp teeth in the flesh of his arm and then there was the doll, tucking his sleeve repeatedly so much alive.
