"God," I stretched my muscles as I sat up in bed.
"Awake, already?" Sly chuckled beside me.
"Of course, I am. I've been sleeping for a day now, I think I'm tired of sleeping."
"Is your back still aching to you? I can apply more balm to it if—"
"I'm good," I slowly rose from the bed. I took the first step, half expecting the same pain from yesterday, to start. But it didn't.
"See? I can walk perfectly," I smile at my husband.
"What a shame. And here I was, looking forward to bathing you as I did, yesterday."
I purse my lips, "I'm good now. You don't have to worry about bathing me. I can do that," I said as I headed to the bathroom.
"Are you certain you don't want me to carry you?" Sly asked.
"Perfectly certain." I walk into the bathroom and banged the door behind me.

It has been two days since Christmas, and I spent a day and a half of the two days lying in bed.
