Chương 17: Paria and Parisa
After talking some more about the system and telling Max about the bug, Alex told max about the ways to improve his chances of getting a high-rank job.
In his previous life, Max got a rear rank job called "fist master" although he was able to raise the rank of the job with practice and relentless work, the foundation was still weak, so it only ranked up once to epic rank.
Just with that trashy job alone, Max was considered one of the best martial artists in the country when the situation stabilized, and people started competing against each other.
"so you're telling me that I could have completed my quests with SS rate and higher?" Max said, unable to believe he had missed such an opportunity.
He wasn't a professional gamer before the system appeared, but he still played whenever he had free time, so he understood the importance of the completion rate of a quest.
"it's ok, I checked, and the system is still unable to give you rewards for the SS rate and above completion rate. You still have time. I know of some easy quests that you can find anywhere. Just form a team with your siblings and go questing.
Unfortunately, there isn't much time left, or else I would have brought you to our summer house so you could also hunt and level up easier."
"it's ok; tomorrow, I will get the kids and go do the quests you said." Said Max.
"ok, and I will go get the twins."
They both stood up and went to check on the kids and aunt Leyla to see how they were settling down.
Max smiled kindly when they saw the kids playing and aunt Leyla resting comfortably.
"who wants to order dinner?" asked Alex with a loud voice.
"me, me, me" the kids all jumped up and shouted happily.
Alex grabbed a menu off the kitchen table and said, "choose whatever you want,"
"Are you sure? I know that the food must be costly here." Said Max, and the kid's mood dampened at the mention of money.
They had to worry about money and be careful with their expenditure all their lives.
But when they came to this place, all their worries had vanished, and they forgot that they didn't have any money.
"it's ok; the food is free for us, so don't shy away and just order whatever you want." Alex gave them the menu and let them choose.
The kids grabbed the menu, went to a corner, and started listing their orders.
An hour later, the kitchen table was filled with all kinds of food.
"they sure ordered whatever they wanted," murmured Alex.
"I'm sorry; I can pay you back when I get some money," said Max in an apologetic tone.
"no, it's ok, as I said, the food is free. After all, I bought a whole floor. The least they could do is to give me this much." Said Alex before continuing, "I'm just worried for Mr. Jones's heart when he finds out that I scammed him hard when I asked for free food for a year."
Max chuckled and didn't say anything else. Alex had already told him about Mr. Jones and how wealthy he was, so he didn't feel bad anymore.
"what are you waiting for? Dig in," Alex started to eat, and the dazed kids, including Emily, who had never seen so much food in one place, all started to eat as well.
The following day, Max and the kids had left the hotel early in the morning in search of quests.
Alex, though didn't leave the hotel until it was eight p.m.
'they should be there…' thought Alex as he drove to a part of the city that he would have never gone to if not for the system's appearance.
Houses were all old, and the streets were full of homeless people.
Alex drove until he arrived in front of a restaurant; he parked the car and went inside.
"Can I get your order?" said an old woman with a coffee pod in hand.
"I want the extra experience." Replied Alex and looked the waiter in the eye.
"oho, such a young man wants to go there?" the waiter said and then turned around, "follow me."
Alex stood up and followed the woman through the kitchen door before reaching an elevator.
Alex wanted to get into the elevator when the woman stopped him and extended her hand in front of Alex, "pay up first."
Alex took five hundred worth of cash, put it in the woman's hand, and went into the elevator.
There was only one button in the elevator. Alex pressed it, and five seconds later, the elevator doors opened again.
Loud music assaulted Alex's ears as the doors opened. Alex came out of the elevator and entered the underground club called Angel's Wings.
Only a very limited number of people knew about this club, so the club wasn't too crowded.
With purple light all around the place, it was hard to see anything except for the stages and where white lite was illuminating dancing poles and naked dancers.
Alex went to the bar where a beautiful yet very shy-looking girl was purring drinks for the customers.
"wha-what can I get you, sir," said the girl as she came to where Alex was sitting.
"I want to talk to Parisa," said Alex.
"I-I don't know a person with such a name." said the girl with a surprised face.
"look, Paria, I don't have time for games; tell Parisa to come out right now."
"how, how do you know us?" the girl looked terrified. No one should have known about Parisa.
But the next second, the expression on her face changed from scared to angry, and she said, "how do you know about us?"
"Hello Parisa, I'm here to make you two an offer. Is there anywhere we could talk?"
"answer my question first; no one knows about us, so how do you know?"
"I know many things; I also know that you want to take revenge on your scumbag of a father, and I can help you with that. So, is there anywhere that we can talk?"
"this…." Said Parisa and looked Alex in the eyes before switching with Peria, who in turn asked for a break from her boss and led the way.
Alex followed her to a room at the back of the club, but as soon as the door closed, Parisa took over and slammed Alex against the wall.
"Who are you? How do you know about us?"
"my name is Alex; I'm here to recruit you for my future guild. As for how I know so much….. that's a secret I can't reveal at the moment."
Parisa let him go and looked at him, "I assume you're talking about the strange system."
"that's right; it will allow you to form guilds when you have ten people at level 50. I want you and Paria to come and join me."
"what's in it for us?" she went straight to the point.
"as I said before, I can help you with your father."
"How are you going to do that." Parisa sat on a nearby chair and crossed her legs.
Alex didn't waste time and activated the shadow clone skill.
"let's just say I have the 'power' to help you,"
