Upon Brent's return to his mother's house, he was relieved that Irene was still at the back of the house, socializing with his family. The only one left in the living room was Ariana, looking apologetic and sad.
"How's Aurora?" Ariana asked.
"I left her at her hotel room where she was currently staying," Brent answered, lowering himself on the sofa, and facing his sister.
"Poor Aurora," Ariana commented sadly.
Brent sighed. "I told her that starting today, she shouldn't bother me anymore because I already have a new woman in my life," he said.
Ariana's forehead puckered. "I see, you no longer have any feelings for Aurora?" she asked, trying to poke deeper into his heart.
Instead of answering the question, Brent looked the other way and then stood up. "I'm going to join them in the backyard, how about you?" he asked.
"Of course, I'll go with you!" Ariana rose to her feet and left the living room together with her brother.
