Saw this in my daily recommendations and I'm so glad I decided to take a look! I was hooked very quickly and blazed through all the available (105ish, atm) chapters in about a day, privilege chapters included. It's that good. The language is excellent (both grammatically and writing style), and the slow burn sizzle between FL and ML is delicious. Will definitely check out author's other books, as this is the first one of theirs that I've read.
Now that WSA22 has concluded, I’m posting the review I submitted as part of the award consideration: Recommendation This is the second book of The De Luca Mafia Series, and even though I have not read book one, I had no difficulty following the events in Gabriella's Hellfire. It can be read as a standalone novel. This may be a contemporary romance, but readers will experience a broad range of emotions as they follow the main characters through this slow burn enemies-to-lovers story. The characters were unique, full of interest, and they fit the atmosphere of the story. I had no idea what to expect from the plot and was constantly curious what the author had planned next. To be honest, I finished the required chapters for this review and went on to unlock more. I highly recommend that this novel be considered for an award. Grammar and Language The author's writing style is clear and reads very naturally. For a contemporary romance that starts with so little mutual affection between the main characters, what the beginning lacks in romance, it makes up with passion through other emotions. The tone and language do an excellent job conveying the characters strong emotions. Aside from the very rare typo, there were virtually no spelling or grammar errors. The vocabulary is always correctly applied and is appropriate for the story and characters. There were no inconsistencies in the storyline of the required reading. Character Design Both main characters have a distinct voice in this novel: Mariano the antihero; Gabriella the defiant victim. Both are members of Italian Mafia families. Mariano is cold and calculating but not uncaring. His primary goal is to rise in ranks and replace his father as Don both for revenge and so he can "reign in the dogs" and control the Morelli family dealings. He is a planner that bides his time, and for him, the end justifies the means. He finds Gabriella to be beautiful and adorably fierce. While he clearly has feelings for "his Riri" and means her no harm, he is willing to let her suffer so he can achieve his goals, one of which is undoubtedly to make her his own. Gabriella De Luca is bold and snarky, and grew up privileged and sheltered but very aware of her family's business. Guilt and loss permeate her narrative. Although she feels trapped by Mariano, she resolves to one day find revenge for the life she has been forced to live. Before knowing his identity, Mariano represented comfort and safety during a time of fear and loneliness. Learning he is actually a Morelli felt like a betrayal; Mariano Morelli is and will always be her enemy. And yet, at times her narrative shows hope that maybe the man she once trusted still exists inside him. Thus far, all the side characters are family members and mafia soldiers, but they feel distinct and have been given well-defined roles. World Building The story begins in modern day New York and quickly shifts to Chicago. Most readers will have a surface level understanding of Italian Mafia basics and should have no difficulty following the story. The hierarchy and specific politics are explained as the story progresses. Settings in this novel feel very poignant. The story opens with both characters imprisoned in a cold dungeon under poor conditions, yet this is where an intimate bond is formed. Subsequent locations are far more luxurious--chauffeured vehicles, a private plane, a four star hotel, a mansion--but are settings filled with suffering, denial, lies, and death. Very little description is given of these environments, but it's the feelings and impressions the characters experience in these locations that are the focal point in the text. Story Development and Creativity The novel is narrated entirely from either Mariano or Gabriella's point of view so readers experience the story along with these main characters by being privy to their thoughts, feelings, dilemmas and secrets--secrets which the author teases along. The frank honesty in these internal monologues feels natural, and it's easy for readers to unconsciously align their own thoughts with the characters and really immerse themselves into the novel. Because of the POV, the story feels dialogue-rich even when none of the characters are actually speaking. The pacing and progression feels just right. The chapters alternate between the main characters but not too frequently; plenty of time is given to each character for that segment to feel complete and satisfying, not confusing. The opening chapter is a great hook to catch readers' interest. (One minor complaint would be the transition between the first and second chapters where it first switches from Mariano to Gabriella's point of view; it was unclear that time had elapsed between these two scenes; in fact, it felt like chapter two was a flashback, which slightly ruined the mid-chapter reveal. Again, this is only a slight issue, and the remaining chapters were very clear.) Paragraph lengths were similarly satisfying. Quite often the author successfully emphasized a point by letting it stand as a single sentence paragraph, making it feel dramatic. There is a constant sense of tension in the early chapters, and readers will feel compelled to chase the promised release as the story progresses.
Such a good read. Parting with amazing books like this is truly difficult. Heck! It might take me some time to move on! Reading the first book also allowed me to love the characters more. My book boyfriends and girlfriends are the best! Lol

As the WSA 2022 contest had ended, I would like to post this review of mine for this commendable work by Author Nixxie. No doubt that I would highly recommend this story for reading as it captured my interest and curiosity right from the start of our main characters’ POVs’ introduction. This is one of my firsts reading a storyline with the use of POVs in its delivery wherein it is remarkably written and amazingly executed. And I can honestly recommend this story to be awarded with one of the top prizes in this year’s WSA contest. Grammar and Language: This is my first book that I’ve read from the author which I would say that has earned my admiration and interest instantaneously as her new fan-reader as she has incorporated the use of the main characters’ POVs and that she was able to deliver the storyline so impeccably and so masterfully written. I have never been so engrossed in reading something like this until I have stumbled upon on this kind of work by the author using POVs instead of the usual dialogues between characters. You wouldn’t be confused in the interactions or exchanges between the main characters and even with the other characters as well as the author has clearly illustrated those POVs so brilliantly. Altogether, I could say that the author has delivered her story smoothly and cohesively. Character Design and Development: As the author had written this mesmerizing work using the characters’ POVs to deliver their story, as I have read it from the beginning, it had immediately piqued my interest and got me drawn instantly and deeply immersive into the main characters’ portrayals. You would gather from each of their POVs the embedded emotions springing from the interactions they have between one another. And from this deep involvement they have, you would be able to identify the unique characteristics each of them have which is highly relatable and believable; as if they were REAL people and not just characters in this fictional world. We have a female lead character who is so endearingly smart and sweet; while we have a male lead character who’s purposely driven and full of himself to overthrow his father from the (family) leadership in the group. What I have felt while reading this book was as if I was also present within their world; watching them unfold each of their own individual stories. World Building: As this is tagged as a story between two main characters with families in the mafia world pegged as great rivals; you would be able to visualize the world where they interact and revolve within their connections involving the different scenarios happening in the background. In their (mafia) world, there are these different emotions evolving from their intrinsic and extrinsic characterizations which involve them into the chaos and disturbance emanating from such environment they have been compelled to live in to. Story Development and Creativity: The story’s prologue instantly got me engaged into reading it and for every succeeding chapter, it has kept me going to the next to find out what comes through. Starting from the well-thought out characters, we get a smoothly paced story development in which all are so encompassing, well balanced and well-conceived and constructed by the author. From the main characters up to the supporting characters, their ongoing chemistries are brought forth amazingly, so relatable and picturesquely captivating; nothing can be called boring with their dynamic interactions in every chapter. The story’s main plot focuses on our female lead character in the story wherein she gets entangled with the male lead character; as both of their families are in the top of the mafia world in which they belong together and separately as rivals. From henceforth, this is where we anticipate more on each of their character’s development starting as a couple as necessitated by each of their families’ ongoing circumstances. There remains more to be seen and that can be expected to evolve in their story as a whole.

Ughhhh, a month ago it was 5 chapters a week released and has been declining & now it is 2 chapters a week. Why has it changed? This is very frustrating to readers and why we leave and go elsewhere!!!!!
Gabriella's Hellfire is an amazing novel by Nixxxie. I have been a fan of her works and this is just another masterpiece. The way it's written in first person POV makes it all the more interesting and sophisticated to read. Gabby is familiar to anyone who has read Gael and Angela's story. This journey of her on marrying Mariano and the way she strides through it all will definitely fascinate you. Yan (Mariano) earns our love and respect as soon as we enter into the story, he is as swoon-worthy as he is caring. He has earned his way through all my favorite gentlemen. Altogether, this is one mind-blowing journey filled with fantastic romance, heartwarming interactions, enchanting mysteries and of course breathtaking revelations. You can delve into it without any hesitation 🔥🔥🔥
I cannot being to tell you how much I love this book. To see the character development and how they evolve is amazing. This started in book 1 of the DeLuca’s and has continued in this wonderful book! Nixxie does not disappoint!!!

i love Gael and Angela's story, but this one is kinda different. I got hooked the minute I started reading this. Yan and Riri, Mariano and Gabriela, I can't wait to read the unfolding of the best love story.
The moment I started reading the first 2 chapters, got me hooked. Author never ceases to amaze me, love how the characters are drawn to each other... tho author kept me wanting for more. This is a MUST read !!

If I was able to give more than 5 stars I would. I didn’t read the series in order but I love each one all the same. Keeps me engage and i prefer to lose sleep than to not know what’s happening next. I love how each character from the previous stories make appearances to keep up with current situations. From The Cho’s family to the De Lucas family and now here’s to what we are hoping to make it further even if it was arranged, the Morelli’s. I can’t wait to read more content. Nix is such an amazing writer.

If anyone has read "Gael's Naughty Angel" then you should read this fantastic novel. It's so beautiful and has amazing characters I love from the very start. The story is at next level and is a Hellfire 🔥🔥like the author mentioned.. 😁🥰💓💓💓 It's still ongoing and I'm rooting for it !
New couple from a very familiar realm! Keeping us readers on the edge of pur seat as we witness the development of the relationhip between the De Luca Princess and her Dark Prince.
I haven't read the previous books (yet!) but I was really drawn to this story. I'm enjoying it so far! Love the writing style; the different personalities really show through and it's easy to get lost in their voices. I think the characters are likable and believable too. And I just want to add that I think this is possibly the most grammatically correct book I've read on here, so thank you author for that! 😉 I can't wait to read more after that last chapter 🔥🔥🔥
I loved seeing Gabby pop up in Gael’s story. I love the interactions she had with Morelli in the other book. Now that she has one of her own, I just can’t wait to see how it unfolds.
Another great love story! This book is easy to read and with each new development, I am wanting to know more. Great characters, fun read. This is a spin-of off the other novels, but is proving to be just as entertaining!

Gabriella's hellfire: an Arranged Marriage Mafia Romance is all encompassing.....filled with various packages....just 17 chapters in and it has captivated my attention, so much more that I desire a daily update already, even with multiple chapters. it evolves passion, love, romance, family, dedication, betrayal, mafia, ruthlessness, crime and different behavioural codes and I guess, a happily ever after - LOVE Gabriella, also known as Gabby by her family and Ree by the ML, who was devastated by the death of her friend and love figure was kidnapped and compelled into an Arranged Marriage. Mariano, a confident man, full of himself was ready to marry the daughter of an enemy Mafia family in order to rise in rank and displace his ruthless father to become Don. ....author NixxxiE has never disappointed with previous books like Serendipity, Gael Naughty Angel and Femme Fatale and I know that this story will not be an exception, especially when it is being written from the character's point of view(POV). This is going to be different and it is intriguing already. Please add the book to your library and join the fun train filled with passion
Book 2 of the De Luca Mafia series explores the relationship between Gabriella De Luca and Mariano Morelli. The scenes in Book 1 Gael’s Naughty Angel tease the readers about their relationship, and definitely made me wonder how they got to their current situation. The big difference between Book 1 and Book 2 is how the story is being told and written. Book 2 is in first-person POV, and I believe it is fitting and suits the story well. The title is Gabriella’s Hellfire and the POV makes it intimate as she is the heart of this plot and her hellfire is her relationship with Mariano Morelli. Only two chapters in but the book already has a solid grip on my attention, and now my desire to read their entire story is raging. Author Nix never ceases to amaze me with her storytelling and just like in GNA, I have full confidence that I will love and enjoy each chapter in Book 2. I look forward to the updates and to see what is in store for us as the story between Gabby and Mariano progresses from enemies to lovers. Happy reading and I hope everyone enjoys the story as much or even more than me.

Gabriella's hellfire: an Arranged Marriage Mafia Romance is all encompassing.....filled with various packages....just 17 chapters in and it has captivated my attention, so much more that I desire a daily update already, even with multiple chapters. it evolves passion, love, romance, family, dedication, betrayal, mafia, ruthlessness, crime and different behavioural codes and I guess, a happily ever after - LOVE Gabriella, also known as Gabby by her family and Ree by the ML, who was devastated by the death of her friend and love figure was kidnapped and compelled into an Arranged Marriage. Mariano, a confident man, full of himself was ready to marry the daughter of an enemy Mafia family in order to rise in rank and displace his ruthless father to become Don. ....author NixxxiE has never disappointed with previous books like Serendipity, Gael Naughty Angel and Femme Fatale and I know that this story will not be an exception, especially when it is being written from the character's point of view(POV). Book 2 of the De Luca Mafia series explores the relationship between Gabriella De Luca and Mariano Morelli. The scenes in Book 1 Gael’s Naughty Angel tease the readers about their relationship, and definitely made me wonder how they got to their current situation. The big difference between Book 1 and Book 2 is how the story is being told and written. Book 2 is in first-person POV, and I believe it is fitting and suits the story well. The title is Gabriella’s Hellfire and the POV makes it intimate as she is the heart of this plot and her hellfire is her relationship with Mariano Morelli. Only two chapters in but the book already has a solid grip on my attention, and now my desire to read their entire story is raging. Author Nix never ceases to amaze me with her storytelling and just like in GNA, I have full confidence that I will love and enjoy each chapter in Book 2. I look forward to the updates and to see what is in store for us as the story between Gabby and Mariano progresses from enemies to lovers.
