Chương 78: Love and hatred?

"Even so- I love her!" the farmer declared.

Blood-tattered clothes- corpses all around; graveyard.

"Understandable-" The armored knight spoke. His voice reverberated within his helmet- giving it an echo- "But what about this monster-" He spoke pointing his needle-like blade forward- "You find lovable?"

Burning sun- a windy day.

The said monster- a woman. Burnt face- burnt skin- wings… the wings of a demon.

She'd murdered- she'd killed- she'd slaughtered-

And yet-

The farmer stood in front of her, spread his arms- desperately trying to protect her. "Even so- I love her," he repeated himself- commitment and perhaps more- 

Love.

What was love?

A fundamental question.

And none of them in the graveyard had an answer.

Not the deceased- not the monster- not the farmer and certainly not the knight.

He didn't necessarily care about it either.

He was a royal knight.

Sent straight from the palace.
