After taking care of that snake, I took over the cave. I went as deep in as I could before I reached the end of the cave. The air is still stagnant. But I didn't want to work too much since I was sleepy. So I just leaned against the wall and fell asleep.
It was a good sleep. I was probably that much tired that it didn't even bother me. But now I have to look for water. Snakes are animals that can live with or without water. It won't hurt to look for water in the cave though.
I look for water in the cave but found a small opening in the wall. Is it like that? I go inside and see a small pond.
The water is shining blue. Just like the cave I woke up in. I smell the water and confirm that it is edible.
I fill my bottle with the water. Since I am here anyway, let's have another meal. Can't call it lunch or dinner since I don't know what time it is.
I have a weird idea. I should cut open the roof of the cave. Can I do it? Let's find out.
And the weird creature on my shoulder is sleeping. I think. It's swaying back and forth and breathing rhythmically. So it can sleep as well.
I take a look at my hand. My wound is gone again. I don't even feel the least bit of discomfort. Is this creature healing me? I'll have to ask later.
I go outside and look up. The ceiling of the cave is about 14 meters tall. But I can climb it. Since there's a slope to the side. I climb to the cave ceiling and walk the same distance from the top.
I can just cut a hole from here. How should I do it? I have yet to test the strength of the rod given to me by Keith? It did a good job in my fights. But the small knife I got as a reward for killing the killer fang can go through walls easily.
If it comes to that, I can just cut in sections. I turn the rod into the two handed sword. I stab the ceiling with it. It wasn't as smooth as the knife but it did go through. I had to put a lot more strength in than I thought.
After carving a square-ish shape, I kicked it in. The carved portion fell down and I could see the inside. It was wide enough for me to fall through so I jumped down from there.
I thought, I should carve another window in the back wall as well. But this was a foolish idea. The back wall is thick.
I kept cutting through it but it didn't end. When I found the ending, I had made another tunnel all by itself.
Rash decision on my part. And I am exhausted. By the way, there were a few items in front of me when I woke up. It said that since I was unconscious, my rewards were sent to me.
I got a new item called the bottomless water pouch. It's a small pouch with a nozzle added to it. I open the nozzle and tilt it. Water starts pouring out and it keeps pouring out. I will take it as a bottomless pouch.
I got another item. It had a note attached to it. Since I killed an area boss, I got an extra reward. It's a bottle of recovery pills. How effective they are, I have no idea. Still, having some medicine on hand is better.
Still, I do have a water source as well. That means I can carry water and have extra insurance with me. I fill my bottle again. This handy bottle, I hope I can keep it even after getting out of here.
I sit down and take out the crystal I ripped out of the snake's body. It was a nine headed snake but in its human form, it looked like a human.
Nothing too crazy. I'd say the skin tone was lighter. But nothing too out of the ordinary. The crystal is violet colored. What am I supposed to do with it?
Maybe I can eat it? Nah, I don't think my stomach can handle a crystal. Still, actually trying it won't hurt. I bite a tiny bit off of it and chew it.
It's crystal but falling apart quickly. I soon swallowed it. It didn't do anything crazy. Maybe a bigger portion would do something. In the hopes of something happening, I had eaten the whole thing.
It tasted a bit like blueberries. Why would it taste like blueberries when it literally looks violet and came from a snake?
So far, so good. I have spent a fair amount of time here. Wait, time doesn't matter here. Then, I should be on my way.
I got up and started packing my things when I remembered. I was about to cook myself a meal. But I ate the crystal and now I am not hungry in the least. Did that thing just sate my hunger? Still, this is worth it.
I pack my things and do a final check. Everything is here and I have cleaned everything. The weapons I used have been cleaned with water and I hope no bacteria exists here.
Then let's go through the tunnel I dug. I kept walking through it until I came out at the opposite side.
I just wanted to leave so why am I facing a new problem. I see a big gorilla approaching. It's headed for this cave. It's huge, the same size as the snake. The snake was a special case since half of its body was crawling on the ground.
The gorilla looks humongous. A 10 meters tall gorilla would certainly be frightening. What's more, it has 10 hands. No, 12 hands.
The color is a bit off as well. A purple green gorilla with 12 hands and 4 pairs of eyes. 4 tusks were hanging from its mouth. Two pointing upwards and two points downwards.
I don't want to fight the gorilla so I try to run away as discreetly as possible. However, luck has always been a bit challenging for me.
This is gonna be a whole lot more difficult than the snake.
Impending danger and I have no idea how to choreograph this scene. I’ll think of something tomorrow.
