Chương 84: The planet spirit showed up
I woke up from sleep after discussing things with System. I was sleeping on the sofa as Fiona's house didn't have enough rooms for us.
Hazel and Eden and Aura are in a room. Fay and Fiona are in a room. So I ended up taking the sofa. I can sleep anywhere if I feel like it. And it wasn't bad.
However I remembered something. I should be alone on the sofa. So why do I see another bulge in the sheets?
I move the blanket and find a really cliché thing. A woman, whom I don't know is beside me.
You might wonder how can two people sleep side by side on a sofa? Let's just say the sofa is big.
She has black hair with violet tint to it. Face is exceptional. She looks too beautiful. Her eyelashes are long and thin. Lips are full and she seems to be sleeping peacefully.
I let her sleep. I have no need of waking her up. Let the sleeping person sleep.
I get up and stretch. It should be morning. I open a window and see that it's morning. The sun is up.
"Aera, what's the time?"
(It's 7 in the morning. Master, the time frame is the same as your previous world so it's better.)
So this planet has kind of similar rotation to Earth. Anyway they probably won't get up so early in the morning. How about I go and take a walk?
I can even do some window shopping. Since everything I bought was used yesterday.
(Clive, aren't you forgetting someone?)
I am? Let me think…..ah…. I had forgotten about Doris.
Where is she?
(Inside your singularity. She is currently communicating with the water spirits of the planet you took control of.)
Then that's fine. She will be back soon. Let's go.
I open the door with high spirits. The day has just begun and I am in an unknown land. No one knows me here so let's explore. Gathering information is essential if you want to adapt to a new environment.
I walk merrily on the cobblestone road. It's medieval but not antique. Cobblestone roads have been used for a long time. Horse-drawn carriages can run on it easily.
The road is wide enough to let two carriages pass by and still have enough space for the passers by.
The road is currently empty. Because it's still early in the morning. A few people are out because they are preparing to open up their shops.
I want to shop some things as well. After they open up, I will buy something. But what should I do in the mean time?
Strolling around is nice but I should be a bit productive. I head to the adventurer's guild.
That should be open. Walking alone is boring. Maybe I should let Aera and Aegis out?
(Yes, master)
Both of them came out. I will refrain from describing their appearances in detail but know that they are beautiful.
"How about we take a job to start the day? We can get some exercise done."
"Good idea master. Aegis was getting lazy as of late." (Aera)
"As if! You are the one who's getting lazy." (Aegis)
Both of them started bickering. They really are like sisters.
"Calm down. Look, we are here."
We somehow arrived at the guild whilst they were bickering. I open the door and see the receptionist who registered me.
She is cleaning the hall and others are helping her. Maybe it's their time to open as well.
"Morning!"
I extend a greeting. But they are tense. I thought they would have gotten used to me.
"Morning, Mr. Clive. What can I do for you this early in the morning?"
She replied with a tired look on her face. But she tried to smile at me. She is a professional, I have to give her that.
"Sorry to bother you so early in the morning but can I take a request?"
"If it's a job request, we have a few. But I don't think they are worth your time."
I understand. It wasn't sarcasm in her voice. There really isn't anything worth my time.
"Still, give me a time consuming one. I don't care about the job or the rewards."
I am not in need of money. I just need to pass my time.
"Then….how about this? This is a survey request. Just go to this place and record the state of that place. You are free to fight any monsters or collect medicinal herbs. We will buy them from you."
"Sounds good. What do you two think?"
I ask them. But they aren't opposed to the idea. I asked for a map and set out for that place.
It is close enough so we go on foot. It's still early in the morning.
"Now, let's get this job done with. It would be good for rusting us off."
"Yes, master."
I try to work us up and keep strutting. Hope it will be fun.
