Chapter 99: Visiting Anton 

Zuri's POV 

My focus drifted in and out as I watched Anton on the hospital bed.

It's been a few days since I found my best friend all mangled up and filled with bullet holes courtesy of my little sister.

And as much as I have tried not to think about the last few days, I just couldn't help it. 

The facts floated in my head.

Anton attacked Emily and Emily put him in a hospital and now, here I was staring at him, sitting on the only armchair in the beautifully furnished hospital.

My tired mind wandered to those days when the only comfort in my world came from the monster on the bed.

Maybe it was the reason why I visited everyday even after the horrible thing he did.

I turned around when I saw a doctor walk into the room.

"Your Majesty" the pretty blonde girl lowered her head slightly before me.

I nodded in acknowledgement and turned my attention to Anton.

"How is he?"
