It is not a cliché. Nor is it unique. Surprisingly hooks me up completely into the story. Now I am waiting for updates. Protagonist lays low in the story and I feel the reason is valid (there is no reason he just doesn't like to go 🤣). There is comedic undertone. With little bit private face slapping (private bcoz protag likes to lay low).
Hong Yuye is Hong Yuye. Not Heavenly Not Sect, Not Natalia. Not Miss Independent. Not any random Jane Doe. That is the titular Character. Have some respect when translation works. Stop fully depending on Machine Translation and AI. At least edit after using them. this is a paid service, not free.
Up until chapter 1502 I really enjoyed this book, it had its lulls sure, but which book doesn’t. Chapter 1503 onward however the names and certain things like the human race translation are jarringly bad in comparison to what came before. It’s still mostly translated fine but it feels like the one translating it went from a person to a machine, and whoever uploading it doesn’t do a double check. It upsets me because I still enjoy the book, and am willing to pay money to continue reading, but it feels like I am paying for google translating with how some paragraphs read. There was one where three characters were mentioned in one sentence and all their names were botched.
This is the only review you need to read if you’re considering this book. Read to chapter 53 and couldn’t keep going. It started out promising, but the book quickly revealed its true colors. The MC is trash. He lets everyone walk over him, he is timid, and is proclaimed as weak when he has a supreme cultivation technique (gets it within the free chapters) then gets a supreme saber made from chaos. Regardless of the fact that he stated that the supreme cultivation technique made him 5x stronger than normal, he is still worried about fighting someone on the same level. Then, he was given an incredibly strong saber technique that goes perfectly with his supreme saber. REGARDLESS, he can’t even fight a minor realm above!!! He is LITERALLY one of the worst MCs I have ever read about. How the hell do you have a cheat system and still not be confident on being the best on the same level?? Furthermore, the MC has NO substantial ambition. He doesn’t try his hardest in any way shape or form. He has a clear path for growth (farming spiritual plants, killing monsters), but is fine with not pursuing a larger field or trying to kill stronger monsters. Additionally, the MC seemingly completely relies on his cheat system to cultivate. He doesn’t seem to cultivate normally and use the cheat system to give him a crazy boost in cultivation speed (the cheat system allows him to pick up “bubbles” that contain power. It only takes him a few minutes to harvest these bubbles…). And, if he does cultivate normally while also using the system, then he has LITERALLY nothing to show for it. That annoyed me. Don’t waste your time reading this. I hardly ever post reviews, but this novel was so bad that I felt obligated.

One of the best, something i was waiting every day, after stop of translations i cancelled my subscribe.
I really enjoyed this novel, I found it amazing. Now is it perfect, no. but nothing is. There will always be parts that could be improved but overall its a fun read and an interesting story. My recommendation is not to judge it only on a couple of chapter because it gets better as you go on. This type of novel might not be everyone's cup of tea but its mine and I love it. If you like a demonic yet noble character who prefers keeping a low profile and a slight comedy in the story. Then this is the story for you. Thank you Author for this Great novel ❤.
So far 488 chapters in and it's been a bit tedious to read through the arcs where mc is just becoming stronger and while the fmc teases him quite a bit here and there, the #ROMANCE is a bit dry and I can't wait anymore 😭 welp, I've read the author's other work so I know the romance will be worth the wait ig, if nothing too major changes in his writing style. If anyone has read a good amount of this novel's content, it would be greatly appreciated if you could inform me at around which chapter they openly flirt 😔
1 dimensional characters, everything literally handed to mc from skills to opportunities author/ translator doesn't edit work even though many minor mistakes made talismans for 1 month next chapter it's somehow changed to a year even though it hasn't been a full month past
The story gets interesting after 800 chapters. It's slow paced and the world introduction lasts 700 chapters . I have finished around 1300 chapters of raw.
I have never seen a series ruined by one character more then this. Chu Jie is a awful character, who is even more of an actual MC then our MC. And up to chapter 446 recieves more kindness then our MC has recieved in the entire novel from the so called love intrest. Horrible, bad, terrible, awful, trash this was

Read to chapter 789. This is one of my favourite novels so far. It leans more towards a comedic undertone with serious moments so some people might not like it. The mc's cheat is simply bubble collecting. For example, plants ripening, demon beasts breakthorughs, mining spirit stones etc all drop bubbles and he can collect them and it is his main source of cultivation. It is definitely not harem but maybe it will change once he gets strongers than the demoness. The cultivation system is quite simple so far. The mc's personality is pretty chill, he doesnt mind being disrespected but if there is an opportunity to get them back he doesnt hold back.
Apart from the low translation quality, I'm not sure why everyone is bashing this novel that much. It's similar to other novels where MC picks up bubbles for his cultivation, but it's also different because MC needs to personally cultivate stuff like herbs or mining in order to get said bubbles. He can't just randomly walk around and collect stuff all over the place. It takes months to years for him to level up, which is already considered fast because the people around him takes decades to level up. He does act timid in front of others but he takes revenge in secret, which makes it funny because other people in the sect are doing the exact same thing. As the novel progresses, he acts less timid and dominates all those in the same cultivation realm he reveals to the public. The relationship he has with the demoness sect master is a bit weird, like she always flicks him into a wall and makes him guess what she wants, but that's how it will be until his cultivation reaches her level. Based on the world setting, his cultivation speed is already like sitting on a rocket past all the supreme geniuses. It's a pretty entertaining novel so give it a try.
The translation quality is pretty bad in this novel. I suspect the translator is from an Asian country who barley speaks Chinese and English. The reason is that when I checked the raws, they butchered all the Chinese slangs, and they don't know how to use 'and' or 'since' etc, so there would be lots of short sentences. If you decide to read this, you will see many readers' comments on paragraphs trying to decipher what it meant. The redeeming quality is that the story is interesting to read. MC is thrown into a devil sect who a fateful encounter with the sect master and dealing with traitors right at the beginning. He powers up quickly because he can pick up cultivation bubbles from spiritual herbs he looks after. The quirk is that he has to tend to them first before they will give him bubbles. Good story but ruined by poor translation, typical of this company.
I‘m guessing someone has been using alt accounts to well troll. considering the fact there’s like dozens of 1 stars with the same concept of thought. Any how this is a cultivation novel following the mc. He wants to live and that’s pretty much the concept of the story. A guy who wants to live in a sect that doesn’t want that to happen. He is morally neutral in all things but is morally good. His been hiding his full potential most of the novel and it’s mainly because he has a demoness that he has no clue what they are thinking, who they are and what do they want. Eitherway she lived hundred of years and super op and his trying his best to hide himself from her and other cultivators. He follow the dao of ”leave me alone and i shall do the same” So if you don’t like a novel that is slow paced, a mc who isn’t the generic hot blooded brain dead mc and want a mentally dull loner MC that just wants to be left alone and get stronger then this novel is for you.

Read the MTL through 1100+ chapters. This story is very good . It has a lowkey slow paced MC just like the author’s other novel. The MC has an extremely stable mindset. The romance is romance less and the female MC is very dominant while the MC is submissive but they have an understanding where MC tries to please her and also lies to her a lot, but she knows he is lying lol. Somehow this kinda romance makes me more interested so if you’re a simp like me then you may enjoy it. Some may find the MC too lowkey and the developments too steady, but personally I enjoy the novel. He gardens and mines to get stronger then goes on adventures outside of the sect secretly with the female MC and they’re in disguise, that’s the basic cycle of the novel. MC is obviously a destined one and his alter egos are legendary while he is just seen as okay person who cheated his way to his current level. give it a shot imo
Don't skip this novel just by looking at the title. It turned out better than I thought. So better give it a try.Although MC lets himself run over by people all the time, the writing is too good to ignore it. At least imo. (My English is not that good so, take my review with a grain of salt)
The novel has so much potential but it just gets caught up on the worst things possible. After a while cultivation doesnt exist and filler takes its place, at one point he goes up one minor realm and gains no powers in 70 chapters, That is just beyond disgraceful in my opinion. The highest cultivation realms are also just never explained, even the highest ranked disciple in his sect is in soul formation realm, but every elder and person he meets later on is at minimum 2 major realms ahead, which makes no sense sect wise. Even the demoness never has her realm revealed and is somehow like 10 major realms ahead of the mc at all times, with no progress in their relationship to look forward to either. I think the novel has immense potential and there are some great characters, but it just feels like there is little to no pursuit in actual cultivation, and instead a pure focus on just filler character interactions, which lose their flare a couple hundred chapters in. This is possibly the most dull, uninteresting, bland and boring cultivation novel I have ever read. The mc gets stronger with time, slowly, yet he is always at the botton of the food chain. Has the behavior of an extreme timid beta. His cultivation is irrelevant because he remains acting like a weakling. Fact is, his personality and mentality are of one, he isnt acting but is one. The rest of the story is dull and bland. Nothing is going on. The mc has no goal and it is the same thing over and over. Dont be fooled by the clickbait title and synopsis either. A story without a goal. This is what this one is. A story without a goal, without an ambition or objective to where it wants to to is NOT a story. It is an idea. The mc had no goals. No dreams. No motivation. No personality. No character. Nothing. Watching a gold fish documentary is more interesting. 1/10.
