There was a palpable air of excitement in the air as you were ushered by Max over to the bar, where the barmaid, the busty blue haired woman by the name of Kinana, pulled out a rather dusty magic stamp tool. It hadn't been touched in years by the looks of it.
"So, where do you want the guild stamp?" she asked, smiling brightly at you, "And what colour?"
You tapped your chin in thought, even as Max and Macao seemed to vibrate in excitement. Then it came to you. You tended to lose your shirt quite often, or just in general not wear any torso clothing because of you know water magic, so why not show off the guild mark proudly? You pulled off your light blue jacket, and then pulled the tank top you had on under it up over your head, exposing your your toned torso, rigid with powerful muscle to view.
"How about right here, on my back?" you grinned, pointing over your shoulder with your thumb, "In a deep blue colour."
"Sounds good to me!" Kinana chirped, and following your instructions did just that. Lighting up the magical stamp tool, she pressed it against your back, and you felt a slight prodding of ethernano shifting within your core, and then felt the tattoo as it manifested on your skin.
They were such nifty little tools that used a pre-loaded spell in the form of a tattoo...to make a tattoo. It was very basic stuff, but at the later stages you could pretty much imbue a spell into a tattoo to let anyone use it as long as they had the magic energy to power it.
Theoretically, you could even imbue a tattoo with one of your god slayer spells, and give it to someone. It'd probably need a master of Letter Magic or Rune Magic to be done though.
And those were in short supply these days.
The three men crowding around you erupted into cheers when your guild tattoo appeared, while Laki and Kinana were content to smile from the sidelines for now.
"So!" Wakaba slapped you on the shoulder, "What you wanna do first? Wanna hit up a mission? We've got a few around we've not got the power to take on to be honest, if you're anything like Natsu and Gajeel were, they'll be right up your alley."
"It will be good to see you in action," Macao nodded, "See how strong you are though if you were the head of the Mage Counter forces before, you probably won't need much help at all.
Eh, your magic is so destructive that getting help is more detrimental for you sometimes honestly, unless that person is on your level.
Still, you do need to look for an apartment building. And you'd like to get to know the people in here, like what magic did they use? Maybe even see if you could learn some of it. There wasn't much to learn in the Rune Knights, and you spent way too much time training and doing your job to learn from a book which usually took longer than face to face teaching.
The only magic you had to your name besides Sea God Slayer Magic, was Requip magic, telekinesis and transformation, and only the very basics.
Useful as they were, especially the Requip which was where you were storing all your stuff, they weren't much help in combat, and you wanted to see about learning some stuff to add a little variety to your God Slayer Magic.
Honestly though, you kind of want to do a mission. You want to show off to your new guild mates, show them you have the strength to help them rise back up again.
They were beaten down now, but these were still veteran mages for the most part, who were all around the B-rank when it came to strength. Some even bordering on the A-rank if what you could feel from a Macao and Max were anything to go by.
They honestly should be much higher up on the totem pole with power like this to draw from. You supposed it came from the fact that Fairy Tail was down to less than twenty members these days. Lack of will to fight after their devastating losses, and lack of manpower to help cover it up would be a problem.
You smirked, "Let's grab a mission," you said with a nod, "I'll show you guys just how strong I am."
And you were very strong. You were the strongest combatant the Rune Knights had on hand by far. Using the Magic Power Finder, the average rune knight captain, the equivalent to an average B-rank mage, had a magical power level of around 350.
When you took the test one last time before you left, you measured in at a flat 2900.
You were on the upper tier of A-rank mages, bordering on the power of an S-rank. Actually, raw power wise you were stronger than some S-class mages.
"Sounds good," Max grinned, grabbing you by the shoulders and pushing you towards the request board, he completely ignored the left side with the most requests, your eyes skimming over them briefly, noting they were all low tier quests, some B-rank, but mostly C-rank and below.
He directed you to the right side of the board, where four job posters lay. "Lookie here, there's a few doozies sent out in generally for all guilds, these are the ones still active," Max explained, "There's four. One to deal with a bunch of enhanced Lizardmen, one to deal with a pair of mated wyvern not far from town, another to deal with a King Vulcan and one to deal with a pack of WereTiger's."
Huh, not a bad selection to start with to be honest.
Enhanced Lizardmen - Reward: 350,000 Jewel - A pack of enhanced lizardmen that have the ability to temporarily copy a mages magic and have incredibly dense scales making it hard to damage them with blunt force.
Wyvern Pair - 500,000 Jewel - A pair of mated Wyvern's are living outside the town of Magnoloia in the forest a few hundred metres away.
King Vulcan - 300,000 Jewel - A Vulcan took over its entire pack, and the mage that was previously sent to deal with them, becoming much stronger than the average version of its species.
WereTiger Pack - 250,000 Jewel - A pack of Weretiger's, creatures renowned for their incredible speed and sharp claws are travelling through the country side, causing havoc anywhere they go.
