"Isaac was taken!?" Xerxes shouted in disbelief that such a thing would happen.
"I was there, and I have no excuse. The shadow under him changed and transformed into a wolf that took him." Talon explained, "I was talking to him, and I couldn't even protect him."
"Wait, did you say taken? Not killed?" Artemis posed the question that had been bugging her, but Talon nodded and confirmed her thoughts, "If he was taken, then that seems to be a stretch, does it not? I see no reason why they would take Isaac rather than just kill him. Talon was also nearby, so why not just kill one of the leaders?"
Artemis questioned the situation.
She could not see the worth of just taking Isaac and not killing him, "If they somehow got wind of him making plans, or if they sensed something about him while he was making that infuriating speech, then why not just kill him? Why take him? Are they expecting to use him?"
It was not safe to draw conclusions without basis, but Artemis asked without hesitation. She was worried about Isaac, but she's even more concerned about the underlying meaning of the Anarchy Lord's actions.
Her words got the others to think, but it was Orthus who broke the silence with a question of his own, "You said he had an overly large sword with him… was this sword white? A sword that's four meters in height, not counting its hilt, and with a width that's as big as a man's torso. A dark line going down its middle and a sharpened edge. Was that the sword?"
Orthus remembered something about a week prior, and he just wished that it was not what he was thinking, 'If it's what I'm thinking, then the Family will not leave things be.'
"Yes, it was." Talon confirmed, and at that very moment, Orthus' face turned grave, "What, I know the sword is overly large but was it something special? Is the reason why Isaac was taken? Is it some kind of artifact? But it didn't seem much, though."
"An artifact? No, it can't be considered as one. It's something more." Orthus rubbed his temples, "At first glance, it is ordinary, but when lifted, anyone it deems unworthy would froth in the mouth. That sword is said to be unwieldable for the last two hundred years, Durandal. One of the 24 Supreme Swords."
Everyone fell silent at Orthus' revelations.
"But, that's impossible. Yulia would not allow anyone to have Durandal. One of the reasons she joined the Church of Justice was to protect the Dracma Family from getting the Durandal." Talon argued. Orthus shook his head, "I don't know as well, but three weeks ago, Durandal answered someone's call for the first time after Uncle Wing's death. Durandal does not get picked. It chooses its wielder. Others thought it might have been Yulia, but it looks like everyone was wrong, and Durandal actually chose Isaac."
Durandal had not answered anyone's call for the last thirty years. No one from the Dracma even managed to make it budge an inch, "The reason why the heads of the Family did not fight to reclaim Durandal was that they thought the sword would not be claimed by anyone. The ownership of the sword would also be declared once it chooses its wielder anyway, and they thought one would be born in their Family in the coming years. They never would've thought that someone would appear to take it away from them once again, and though I don't really care about who wields the sword, that changes if the Anarchy Lord gets the Durandal."
"Why is that?" asked Artemis.
Orthus took a deep breath, "What I'm about to tell you is something that cannot be said outside of this camp, okay?"
The other three swallowed the lump on their throats as they heavily nodded.
"The reason why Durandal has not been wielded by anyone from the Dracma family since two hundred years ago is that Durandal is alive, and 30 years ago, it was not given to my Uncle out of goodwill after he slew the dragon that threatens the Kingdom. No, he was not given anything. Durandal flew and seemed to have sprouted wings and was the very sword that Uncle Wing used to defeat a Dragon, and if that's true, that means the essence of the Phoenix's heart and soul must have been the reason. I believe Isaac was kept alive because the Anarchy Lord fears the death of its wielder might render the sword useless. However, that's not what I'm trying to get to. What I'm trying to say is, if the Anarchy Lord, for some reason, can harness the powers of the Durandal for herself, then she wouldn't even need a night to recover."

Isaac did not know what was happening. He was weak, and the Shadow monster's teeth were digging into him. Isaac was in pain when he could not reach for his sword; he just gave up, 'I don't have any energy to fight. I have potions, but they were kept in my bag, and my extra is in my inner pockets… I need to be more prepared.'
Just a few minutes later, the Shadow Monster finally stopped and stopped at the foot of an artificial mountain. It was a steep mountain that was over two hundred meters high. The hill was made of altered land, making the withered trees around it positioned slanted, which goes steeper the higher it gets.
The Shadow monster prompted him to start walking up. He kept Durandal away as the Shadow monster disappeared, leaving it behind as well.
'The magic used in creating this place is amazing. The lingering mana is not restless, so the one who made this place is someone strong… that must mean there are dozens of traps laid about, and the monsters around are not much stronger than the ones who attacked us.' Isaac smirked, 'Now I'm sure if the soldiers really tried to fight without gaining an advantage, they would lose heavily. Heh, they were severely looking down on the Anarchy Lord.'
After drinking a Stamina and Health Potion, Isaac reached the top. Eventually there, he stopped and kept Durandal away.
On the mountain top, there was a cave, and in front of the cave, he saw two men waiting for him.
"Why is it that every time that I see you, you're always covered in blood?"
"Good to see you."
An Archdemon and Drac
Isaac smiled as his tensed body eased, "Tari! David!"
"It's Davil! Why did you make the same mistake as him!?" a cloaked Davil shouted.
"Ah, sorry." Isaac apologized.
"HAHAHAHA!" Tari, who had both eyes bandaged, just laughed.
The three somewhat close friends have been reunited.
