The couple walked arm-in-arm down a sidewalk with a light amount of traffic, much to Mary’s relief. She had a bit of a problem leisurely strolling about a city that she knew next to nothing about, save what she learned and saw in books or movies. The small shops and cafes that lined the street definitely reminded her of all the old movies her mom and Mama DiSprito used to watch all the time. Mary’s attention turned back to an unassuming costume shop that Takeshi took her inside of. The two were greeted by the familiar face of Butterfly, her locs pulled back from her face in a messy bun. She looked up, her hazel eyes glittering with excitement as she saw Mary. Then confusion sat in as she realized who Mary walked in with.
“Hold the phone,” Butterfly chuckled, “you two know each other?”
“Something like that.” Mary teased. "I just didn't know that he knew you till recently, though."
