"I want to make..." I bit my tongue for a few minutes. "Never mind. We'll see what happens later." Ignoring his skeptical gaze, I just put the chopped ingredients into the Teflon. There was a loud sound from there that automatically made me scream in surprise. Oh, shit!
Jace's laughter bubbled up suddenly. He shook his head at my stupid behavior. Again, I pursed my lips in disgust. He stepped forward, turned off the stove, then threw the chopped ingredients into the trash. I frowned disapprovingly.
"Don't throw it away. What's the harm?!" I objected.
"Do you want to poison me, Elsie?" His eyes rolled. "Why don't you just tell me you can't cook?"
His gaze intimidated me, spontaneously making my body seem to shrink on the floor into a small figure ready to be stepped on. I snorted softly, succumbing to this Incubus.
"I don't want you to judge me negatively because I can't touch the kitchen." My lips pouted gloomily.
