Chương 33: Graveyard (Deadly Crow)

Almost 20 minutes had passed when Ling's and Hary's battle started. And now the aggressive rotten Ghouls earlier were lying on the surface and bathed in their own green stink blood.

Thanks to Hary's fire ability, he blinded the monsters, causing them to stop moving. Plus, the damage he inflicted by his wind ability.

At that time, Ling used the big opening to cut the monsters' necks and let their heads feel to the ground.

To begin with, he wiped the sweat formed in his temples. "Jeez! Your skill is so hot, Hary. How could the fire here have the same effect as the real world?" Ling said.

When Hary noticed that there was no monster around them, he immediately removed the fire so that the place wa make cooler. After that, he used his [water] element as he could still sense the rotten smell coming from Ling.

"Let's keep going, Ling. Our job here is finished." He commanded while using his wind magic to pick up the cores that lying on the ground at once.

Well, both of them decided Hary would store the monsters' cores and separate them after their expedition.

He nodded his head and followed Hary in his direction. This time, the pacing of their expedition was getting slower as the ambiance of the place was heavy. Plus, this area was flooded with trees so it was hard to see for them what were the things in front of them.

"You know, Hary. I think we can become a good duo since our class is suitable for one another." Ling said in a cheerful tone.

He was right since Hary could put a lot of damage while Ling can finish them by using his excessive speed and tremendous concealment of his existence.

Hary simply chuckled, "I think that too, though. But I don't think we can play too much since I belong to a guild. So any moment, they could give me a new quest." He replied and checked each corner if there was a monster hiding.

Ling glanced at him in the corner of his eyes. "Eh, why? You can't refuse that quest? There's a lot of things I need to learn from you."

"Don't be so exaggerated, Ling. They still not contacting me, so it means we can continue this expedition. Also, this is the first time we hanged so I have to cherish it." Hary said, then pointed his finger in a dark place that the moonlight can't reach. "There! We have to go there if you want to collect more monsters' cores."

Hary was the party leader so the only thing could do was follow his instructions. Also, there was a lot he doesn't know about this game, so it would be better if he watched Hary and learn new something from him.

"No, problem. I will follow you wherever you want."

Meanwhile, numerous ghouls approached the duo. But despite their number large numbers, they can't do anything to the rankers because of their perfect strategy. Yes, Hary continued to use his magical skills to deal high possible damage while Ling was doing the cleanup as always.

Although the monsters had keen senses, still, once Ling hid from the dark, they can't do anything to figure out his current location. To be exact, the only time they can see him was when their heads were flying in mid-air.

50 rotten ghouls the exact number of monsters they killed after one hour and thirty minutes had passed. And now, Ling was already level 15 and Hary was level 40. Thanks to their concrete strategy, the monsters were left lifeless.

'I never expect this scene would happen. To be honest, I'm not planning to raise my level here, but it can't be helped. Ling is good for killing those monsters.' Hary uttered to his mind while gulping a blue liquid inside the transparent battle.

Yes, it was the mana potion that would help to replenish your mana up to 50%. But sometimes, the effect was different depending on the type of their potion.

'His movements are sharp and flawless. I wonder if he already played a game like this before and he's just pretending.' He shook his head, knowing Ling wasn't the type of person who could lie to him. 'I'm overthinking. I should not think about that.'

On the other hand, Ling was looking at the beautiful moon above him while eating the bread given by Hary. This bread would help him to regain his fatigue, that's why he was eating it.

"This place is so beautiful. Even the entire area is full of monsters, but the view here is not the usual thing you can see anywhere." He said and didn't expect that he already finished eating the breed. So he placed his hands on the surface and pushed himself into a stood-up position. "Let's begin again, Hary. I'm planning to earn 200$ dollar today so I hope you will help to achieve that."

Hary stood up as well, "Leave it to me-"

And all of a sudden, Hary can't complete his sentence after a new mini-screen appeared right before his eyes. Inside that screen, a woman had blue hair, red eyes, and a worried expression on his face.

"Where did you go, Harinator? Do you know how long the Guild leader is waiting for you?! Come back here we have an urgent matter! Or else, do you what would happen next."

After the woman gave the messages, the screen immediately disappeared as she ended the call. At this point, Hary was scratching the back of his head, feeling guilty that he have to leave Ling in this place.

"Tch! They are ruining our bonding." He said inwardly and glanced at Ling. "Sorry about that, but I have to leave because of the urgent matter toward our Guild."

Ling has a surprised expression on his face as he never expect someone could talk to Hary in that way except for him. But eventually, he shook his head and his hands. "Don't worry about me, I'm fine here. Just get back once you finished with your stuff." He said in a polite tone.

"Sorry again, Ling. I'm the one who invited you to have an expedition and ended up I'm leaving you here."

"Hahaha! Stop thinking that way. Also, I should thank you since our party made huge progress to the point that I get stronger." Ling waved his hand not say to goodbye, but to force him to leave this place as soon as possible. "Sho! Sho! Sho! Go ahead I would be fine."

"Yeah, let's have an expedition next time. Goodbye, B-L-O-O-D! Hahaha!"

In just a blink of an eye, Hary disappeared from the place. However, he left an important message to Ling.

[If continue what are you doing right now, you will be a level 20 ranker in no time. But remember this, if there's a chance you face the pumpkin head monster, just run.]

[Sure. Thanks again.]

He removed the screen and looked in front of him, seeing the place was way darker than before. Yet, he didn't feel anything, knowing if this continue the advantage would be on his side.

Suddenly, Ling wiped his forehead as something that had mild heat landed on his forehead. At first, he thought that was the simple poop of a bird, but it ended that was the blood of some creature.

"Eh, what is this?"

He looked at the sky to check where the blood came from that constantly hit him as it was like blood raining.

Uwak! Uwak! Uwak!

His eyes widened after he saw hundreds of crows flying over him.

"Hey! Hey! Hey! Where are you guys coming from?!"
