In the afternoon.
"Mommy, Mommy, Mommy!!" called Joy as she excitedly ran into Natasha's office with giggles and Natasha looked off her laptop to look at her.
"What is it my darling?" asked Natasha with a smile as Joy climbed up and sat on her lap.
"Mommy, mommy, I know how to write my name now" said Joy excitedly.
"You do?" asked Natasha in surprise.
"Yes mommy, we have been practicing in class, and now I can finally write my name on my own" said Joy as she giggled.
"Let me show you mommy" said Joy as Natasha could see that her baby was eager to show her what she could do.
"Alright, you can show me here" said Natasha as she moved her laptop to the right and she got a blank sheet of paper as she handed Joy a pencil.
Joy excitedly took the pencil for her as she started to write on the paper and Natasha washed her.
"Look Mommy, I wrote my name" said Joy as she looked at Natasha, waiting to see her reaction.
"Oh my darling, this is wonderful, you wrote your first name and your last name as well" said Natasha as she smiled, she could not lie that she was not impressed, she was very impressed.
"Yes I did mommy" said Joy as she nodded with a giggle.
"But my darling, your small letter e Is upside down" said Natasha as she saw that Joy had written the e in the name White upside down, and the t looked a little bit wonky.
"I did?" asked Joy as she looked at her name on the paper.
"Yes my darling, here, the small letter e is supposed to be like this" said Natasha as she held Joy's hand with the pencil and she wrote the e.
"Ahh I see now mommy, I made a mistake" said Joy as she looked at Natasha.
"That's alright my darling, so can you spell your name?" asked Natasha with a smile as Joy nodded.
"J-O-Y W-H-I-T-E" said Joy as Natasha clapped.
"That's wonderful my darling, you are so smart, I don't think that I learnt how spell and write my name when I was your age" said Natasha as she laughed.
"But your name is very long mommy" said Joy as she laughed.
"You know my name my darling?" asked Natasha as Joy nodded.
"What's my name?" asked Natasha.
"Your name is Natasha mommy" said Joy.
"That's right my darling" said Natasha as she smiled.
"And do you know your daddy's name?" asked Natasha as Joy nodded.
"His name is Dominic, but everyone calls him Dom" said Joy as she giggled.
"How do you know that my darling?" asked Natasha as she had never really thought that Joy knew she and Dom's names.
"Well I hear my uncles talking, and daddy calls you Natasha" said Joy.
"That's true my darling" said Natasha as she smiled.
"Mommy, what does your name mean?" asked Joy.
"Well my darling, it means someone who is born on Christmas day" said Natasha as she smiled.
"Mommy, why is your name Natasha? You were not born on Christmas day, your birthday is in November not December" said Joy in confusion.
"That's true my darling, I don't really know why my parents named me Natasha, I never asked, or maybe I did and I forgot" said Natasha as she laughed and Joy laughed.
"Mommy can I go to the park to play with Ethan and Pluto?" asked Joy.
"How do you know Ethan will be at the park my darling?" asked Natasha.
"He usually takes Pluto on her walk in the park at this time, so can I go mommy, pleaseee" said Joy.
"I can't take you my darling" said Natasha.
"I can go myself mommy, the park is very close, please let me go, please" said Joy as she pleaded with Natasha as Natasha smiled, how could she say no when her baby was so cute.
"Alright my darling you can go, I will come get you in thirty minutes" said Natasha.
"Yayyy thank you mommy!!" said Joy as she smiled and hugged Natasha and Natasha put her down as Joy giggled and ran out of her office as Natasha smiled.
…
"Ethan!! Hiii Ethan" came Joy's loud voice as Ethan was watching Pluto run around as he sighed when he heard Joy's voice.
"Don't shout like that dummy, you could have scared Pluto" said Ethan.
"Oh sorry Ethan" said Joy as she apologized.
"It's fine" said Ethan as he threw a ball and Pluto ran to get it as Joy giggled.
"Ethan I have good news, I can write my name, look" said Joy as she bent down and wrote her name in the dirt as Ethan looked.
"Nothing impressive, I can do that as well" said Ethan as he wrote his name in the dirt with his finger as well.
"That's your name?" asked Joy as she looked at the letters as Ethan nodded.
"Your name is so long Ethan" said Joy as she looked at him.
"Because I don't have a short baby name like yours" said Ethan as Joy just looked at him, wondering how long it took him to write his name when he needed to.
"What are you thinking about dummy?" asked Ethan as he looked at Joy.
"Your name is very long to write" said Joy as Ethan just shook his head.
…
"Oh Natasha, are you coming to the parent teacher meeting tonight?" asked Chloe as Natasha put her phone to her ear and walked to her room.
"That I am, I received an email about it" said Natasha.
"is Dom coming?" asked Chloe.
"No he's not, he has some sort of warehouse checking to do, he won't be back till late" said Natasha as she had heard so from Lulu.
"Neil can't come as well, you know the men and their work, so do you want us to drive over there together?" asked Chloe with a smile.
"Sure that would be great, we are going to the same place" said Natasha as she laughed and Chloe laughed as well.
"So should I come pick you?" asked Chloe.
"Yes, that would be great, see you at 6" said Natasha with a smile.
"See you" said Chloe with a smile as Natasha ended the call.
…
Natasha knocked on the door of the classroom as she heard a voice telling her to come in as she entered the classroom.
"Ahhh Mrs. White, it's nice to see you please have a seat" said Jennifer with a smile.
"Thank you Miss. Honey" said Natasha with a smile as she sat down across Jennifer.
"I saw you at the meeting earlier, is there anything specific you would like to discuss with me about Joy" said Jennifer with a smile.
"Firstly, I would like to say that I commend your work, I can say for a fact that Joy loves your class, she loves being your student" said Natasha with a smile as Jennifer laughed.
"And I love having her as a student, Joy is such a darling, she listens well, and she's not afraid to ask questions, and she's often very bold when she doesn't know something" said Jennifer as she smiled.
"I am glad she does" said Natasha as she smiled.
"So is there anything in particular that you would like to know, what are some of your concerns?" asked Jennifer with a smile.
"Well mostly none, but Joy showed me that she could write her name now, which she was happy about" said Natasha.
"But?" asked Jennifer with a smile.
"But she wrote the small letter e upside down and her letter t was wonky" said Natasha.
"I am just worried with the way she writes those letters" said Natasha.
"Ahh I see, and that is totally understandable Mrs. White" said Jennifer with a smile.
"Please call me Natasha, I prefer Natasha" said Natasha with a smile.
"Alright Natasha, and you can just call me Jennifer" said Jennifer with a smile as Natasha smiled.
"I understand your concern as a parent Natasha, but there is absolutely nothing to be worried about" said Jennifer with a smile.
"Really?" asked Natasha.
"Yes, it is normal for children to mix up letters and numbers sometimes, it is something that will correct with more time and practice" said Jennifer with a smile.
"So it's nothing serious, it's a normal part of development, for example, I am sure you know Clarita" said Jennifer with a smile as Natasha nodded.
"She's also a darling, and evident enough, she writes her small letter a's upside down, and she often confuses the letter M for the letter W, which is normal, children do that often times" said Jennifer as Natasha nodded.
"As Joy gets older and she sees the letters more, and we correct her more and she rewrites the letters, she will get better" said Jennifer as she smiled.
"I see now, thank you for explaining" said Natasha with a smile.
"You are welcome Natasha, it's good to have question such as these, so that if there is actually something very serious, we will be able to notice it quickly" said Jennifer with a smile as Natasha nodded.
"Thank you Jennifer" said Natasha with a smile as Jennifer just smiled at her.
