Chương 7: Power of the Reputation Points
I yawned and woke up to the sight of the tent roof. I turned my head to the side and a figure greeted me. Due to the tent being small, the figure had her arms warped around me. It's as if she's treating me as a cuddle pillow.
That's right… I'm currently sleeping in the tent with Zaphiel. Although my conscience told me not to sleep with this girl, I couldn't help it. The night in the forest was just too cold. I don't even know how Ash and his crew could sleep out at night. If anything, I call bullshit on the anime.
Last night, as I slept outside with just my sleeping bag and blanket, I couldn't drift to sleep at all. Every time my eyes closed, I would feel the cold intensify.
Zaphiel also couldn't sleep and asked me to sleep inside the tent with her. She yapped on and on about all the benefits of sharing the tent.
Cold and tired, I didn't argue much with her. I grabbed my blanket and sleeping bag and threw them in the tent. I also got in and made myself comfortable.
After settling in the tent, it became warmer. Then, I finally managed to fall asleep last night. Did anyone think that something was going to happen? Yeah, no! At the very least, give it six years!
Quietly, I broke free from Zaphiel's embrace and exited the small tent.
The morning forest dew is all over the place.
I went to the fireplace that Chimchar started and boiled some morning stew. The stew wasn't anything special. It's just some canned soup that was in Zaphiel's bag.
"Bellsprout~"
"Brrrbrr."
As I warmed up the stew, I listened to the beautiful noise of the Pokemon forest. As each sound came to me, I guessed their names.
After guessing for a while, I got bored and stopped.
"I guess I'll take a closer look at the reputation points?" I spoke to myself and activated the holographic panel with my mind.

The reputation points increased by another 10 points. All of which were from Zaphiel. For some reason, Zaphiel would occasionally send some reputation points. Since there wasn't a manual to this thing that I have, I could only assume that her impression of me increased.
To start with my deep research of this mysterious holographic panel, I zoomed in on the option of increasing my Pokemon's stats.
From the information that I received, the Pokemon's stats were separated into two sections: IVs and EVs.
I felt that these stats were pretty generic, but they described the Pokemon's strengths pretty well. If someone played any Pokemon games before, they'll probably be familiar with the stat divisions.
If I had to summarize it, however, the IVs are a Pokemon's birth stats and the EVs are the stats that can be trained. Each of the IVs and EVs could be separated into six categories: HP, Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed. For each of the stats, the numerical number that it can be increased to is 100.
Looking at the conversion rates, it seems it takes 10 reputation points for one point in the IV stats and 1 reputation point for one point in the EV stats.
Interested in Mavis's stats, I sent the request in my mind to the mysterious panel and Mavis's information popped up like magic.

"It's pretty average," I muttered. The only high stats were its attack points. Other than that, the other stats were below fifty. The EVs also needed some training.
I exited the stats page and looked at the remaining things that I could do. In order, they are the Moveset Changer, the Item Exchanger, and the Trainer Abilities.
Of these three things, I was most intrigued at the Trainer Abilities.
With a thought, I entered the Trainer Abilities panel and checked its content.
« The trainer may trade in points to clone the abilities of a Pokemon that's within three meters. The trainer may select the Pokemon, but each skill clone is random and it costs 10,000 Reputation Points per clone.

I was excited after seeing this. With just 10,000 points, I can learn Pokemon moves? Isn't this too overpowered!?
Various scenarios popped up in my mind. Just imagine If I learn thunderbolt or even telekinesis! No, what If I can learn to teleport and fly!? My heart thumped and I wanted to get up this instant and run to Silkis town so that I can earn some Reputation Points.
"Yawnn~. Ian, are you there?" Zaphiel's voice came from the tent and poked her head out of her tent. Her eyes were still groggy, but she wanted to make sure that her new friend didn't ditch her.
I quickly dispelled the mysterious panel and glanced over at the tent. "I'm still here, Zaphiel. Get up and come eat breakfast. We'll clean up and set off to Silkis town soon. We might reach it before noon if we hurry."
"Okay, Ian!!" Zaphiel happily replied and got busy inside the tent.
