Wren took much longer than expected to return, but for once, Rowan wasn't worried about it, even when he'd been in the tub long enough for his fingers and toes to pucker into raisins.
Today just wasn't a day for shadows.
He decided that Wren had probably gotten distracted by a bakery while he was out, or maybe he'd forced Nicasi to shop with him as he liked to do. Knowing him, he'd come home with more pillows in addition to the bacon he'd been so determined to get.
If he *was* shopping, hopefully he actually planned on paying for everything with real money, not with something he created from whatever he found laying on the ground.
As uncomfortable as the new attention from the people outside of the Order made him, Rowan didn't want them to start hating him again because Wren paid for things with pebbles and scraps of paper covered with illusion.
Rowan sighed, and his breath scattered the rose petal boats across the surface of the water.
Rowan can be so naughty. I really love when he is like this. It always leads to fun, one way or another.
More fluff is on the way, but I think it’s important to give our guys a break before we get moving again. And I just really enjoy the quiet moments. Makes me feel like I’m spying. Thanks for tolerating me.
