Chương 8: Chapter 8 - CS:GO part 1
-Emily's POV-
Me and my team followed the masked man into his shop. I normally wouldn't trust strangers, but I just don't feel like he is lying. And I'm very interested in that thing called video game.
The man said that it is a different world, and I'm very curious about it.
As we walked inside the shop I was surprised to see the inside. It looked very weird, there were white walls as well as a counter, but there was a weird metal thing on it and a rectangle that lets out light.
While looking inside I saw 9 more of them on tables, but their rectangle wasn't giving out light. While I was wondering about what those things are a voice took me out of my thoughts.
"Those things are called computers, as for the rectangle thing, it is called a computer screen" Said the masked man.
'Computer and computer screen, are those connected to video games?'
The masked man kept going inside to where the computers are and we followed him.
"Each of you, take a seat" Said the masked man.
While hesitating a bit I took my seat. After we all sat down on the chairs in front of the computer screens, the masked man went to the metal boxes called computers and clicked on a button.
'That?!'
After he clicked on the buttons, the computers made a sound and then the computer screens started to light up and weird images appeared on it.
"Don't worry" Said the masked man.
"Mister-" I wanted to ask him about it but he then cut me off.
"You can just call me GM"
"GM, what are those things?" I asked GM since I never saw something like that before.
"Like I said they are called computer and computer screen, they are…"
-A few minutes later-
"Is that real?"
After hearing the explanation of computers I was shocked to my core, and I could see Mike and Bob are also in the same state as me, after all, this thing is crazy.
"Done" I suddenly heard GM say something so I looked at him.
"I finished setting everything, you just need to put a name" Said GM
"What do you mean by that?"
"I made a character for you so you can play the game, just tell me how you want to be known in the game"
A name? What is a good name?
"Put my name as Powerful mage" That's a good name, that way it will show everyone that I'm a powerful mage.
"That's" I could feel that GM is lost for words from his body, of course he is, after all this is such a great name.
"Are you sure this is the name you want? It can be anything" Asked GM
"Of course, I want that name" That name is too good not to use.
I saw the name appear in a bar on screen, after that he asked Mike and Bob. Mike is called Lightsword while Bob is called I love alcohol, what weird names, mine is the best.
After that he clicked something and a new image appeared, it was the image of a man with a weird outfit and there were words all around the screen. After that GM explained stuff and the more I heard the more amazed I became.
"Okay, click here with the mouse" GM told us to use the thing called a mouse, even though it looks nothing like a mouse, to click on the play button and then everything went black.
'Am I dead?' I asked myself, maybe I shouldn't have trusted that stranger. But then suddenly light returned and I saw that I was standing in a short tunnel with 2 people in weird suits around me.
"What is this?" I heard one of the people speak, he sounded like Mike.
"Mike?"
"Is that you Emily?" Mike asked back.
"Yes" Since Mike is here, Bob should also be here, and I was right.
"I'm here" I looked to my left and saw a huge man with weird outfit… Yep, definitely Bob with that body size.
"I can't move" I heard Mike say and that's when I noticed I also can't move.
"Maybe it is connected to the numbers?"
I heard Bob say something about numbers so I looked at him and asked "What numbers?"
"Those numbers at the top of my vision" When he said that I noticed that there is stuff in my vision, I didn't notice before because of the shock of the situation.
'Let's see' I looked at all things in my vision, there were number going down. A place with green numbers and also something called tutorial for beginners, when I looked at it, stuff appeared in my vision. There was explanation about how to use something called pistol and there were many types, it told me to think about taking out my pistol, and when I did I almost felt my heart jump out of my chest. After all, a pistol just appeared out of thin air in my hand.
'So, that's a pistol?' It was black pistol with a long black cylinder at the front.
After that it told me how to reload and handle it, and then came the time to shoot it. When I did, I felt a bit of a recoil but not much. When I looked where I shot, there was a hole in the wall. Although it isn't as strong as magic or aura users, it is very easy to use and seems to work with even normal people.
'This will be dangerous if it appears in Xosic, the kingdoms will start using normal people in their stupid wars' I knew the amount of damage those weapons can make, especially for civilians, since everyone can use those weapons, those bastard nobles might send civilians in wars and keep sacrificing them since to them civilians are disposable.
I saw Bob and Mike also having a complicated expression, 'it seems we are on the same note'
After that, it showed me how to use different weapons and explained about them and also how to get them, after finishing with everything and completing the tutorial it seemed that it was time to start the game, as the number of the timer hit 0 we were able to leave spawn.
'Time to have some fun'
